Time flies… When I make the booking of AA’s tickets to India, it was 1 year ago.

So far, I did prepare the itinerary for every trip to overseas, but this round is slightly different, I was only in-charge of train and hotel booking due to extremely heavy workload and damn tight schedules. Sightseeing part, I have asked my best buddy cum traveler to prepare.

Our first day of arrival was not an easy task for us. We have been through the darkness and fear, first time felt so helpless and afraid of being a traveler in other country. We both almost got robbed and may get killed by a group of scam. But we were lucky that we are smart and alert enough to know it inside-out and able to stand until the next morning until we left the ugly yet terrified place.

We both were so excited as we flew to a place that I called it as “As heaven, as hell” – India. We booked our air ticket one year ago, together with the luggage and air fare + taxes, each person only have to RM247.00.

When we touched down New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport, the airport obviously is new and built because of recent Commenwealth Games, it is as nice as heaven. The capacity, interior, creativity, I would say it is as good as heaven, seemed like 2-3 times bigger than our KLIA. However, once you stepped out from the air-conditioned airport, immediately you feel the heat of 35°C at the time of 9:00pm. That’s when I call it as HELL.

Without wasting more time, we seek for information from the authority on how to get to old Delhi railway station. We were told by folks that taking public bus would be the easiest way, fare is INR100 per person.

Once we alight from the bus, I don’t really feel comfortable with that area. It is not only dark but a lot of MEN walking around. In India, hardly or zero possibility you will be seeing a woman walking down the street. That’s when we were approached by a guy with neat and tidy formal dressing, claiming to be a staff in GPO (General Post Office), proactively asking us if we need any information or help. As the bus was stopped in the middle of the street, we do not know where is the old Delhi railway station, so the only choice is to ask him for direction.

To our surprise, he told us that the station is now closed due to the safety as it is an area with full of Muslims, certainly we are not allowed to enter unless we have got a valid boarding pass. Of course I have my train tickets ready but still we were too naïve and trust everything he said, he then proposed why not we car pool by a tuk-tuk with him on cost-sharing basis, INR10 per person as he would like to go home. But before that he will guide us to the “Tourist Information Centre” together with us, to assist us to get the boarding pass.

The office clearly stated DTTDC, which stand for Delhi Tourism & Transportation Development Corporation, but I think they misused the logo, so that those who came to their office would BELIEVE them. Other than us, there are 5 Koreans are in the office. We were assisted by a guy named George who can speak fluent English. After he saw our train ticket, he mentioned that many travelers are facing the same problems, pointing at numerous photocopies of passport on the notice board, implying that we should have aware of such occasion. He even said that my train ticket is not valid, as I should have booked the ticket under “Tourist Quota” instead of “General Quota”. I started to doubt them, questioning on the validity and even “Tatkal” which is created for last minute foreign tourist. He even make a call to the railway station authority IRCTC and request the agent to speak to me, the agent even requested me to login to the website and cancel ALL my tickets as soonest possible, so that I can still save some money.

I started to feel very very weird, then that George shows up his true colors. To show that he is in bona fide and very kind in helping us, he offering us a BUDGET package that cost INR21,500 (According to my buddy, it is the price for 2), and that’s about RM1550.00!! While I was discussing with my buddy on such scam, George suddenly interested in my watch (holy sh*t, I forgot to take it off!), asking me how much does it cost. I told him it is only imitation and cost only RM10, you can simply get it anywhere in KL, and I was shocked when he said I give you RM10 and you give me your watch!! That moment, I seriously almost had gone crazy! After we rejected his offer, his manner was totally changed, ordered us to discuss anywhere else as he got other travelers in house (That 5 Koreans basically was already served by another idiot).

We then told the neat and tidy formal guy about what happened and insist to go back to old railway station but was few times denied by him, I got lil mad and had raised up my voice, told him it is my responsibility to look after myself, not him then only he asked the tuk-tuk driver to give us a lift. He even told us only pay the driver IDR20.00 for one way but that driver insist to run on meter which started at IDR19.00.

When we are not far from the old railway station, the driver took the right turn into an alley that has no cars but only few people walking towards it. Suddenly another neat and tidy formal dressing folk stopped the driver from going further, telling us with fluent English that it is not safe to go there now as it is Muslims district, the station is closed for safety purposes and insist the driver to turn back! I got very very fed up and request driver send us to New Delhi Railway Station instead.

Driver at first kind of refusing our request, but eventually he did. We thought that we are now safe but when we trying to enter the screening of security, a guy stopped us and insist to check on ticket. Without hesitation again, I show him my ticket as I thought he is one of the authorities. He pointed out that I have came to the wrong station and requesting me to go to the “Tourist Information Centre” to get boarding pass, exactly the same as what we experienced earlier, I feel that they are a group of syndicate, they are everywhere, they are connected!

As not to let them cheat, we REFUSED his offer and insist we will enquire at International Tourist Bureau. He then show us the way to the office, which is located on the first floor of the railway station. Once we reached downstairs, he requested us to walk up to first floor, but we know that this isn’t right and something is VERY WRONG. The notice board at downstairs clearly stated the office is only open from 8:00am to 8:00pm and he doesn’t even wanna lead us to first floor. Half way we walked up the stairs, I told my buddy, “if we walk up, I’m sure we will get robbed and maybe murdered.” He nodded his head to show his agreement. We quickly turn back and try to escape, then another guy appeared and trying to stop us, ordered us to go to the office at upstairs… Why would a stranger know where you are going? Obviously they are TOGETHER !!

We both were so tired, exhausted, dehydrated, fear and helpless. We went to one of the platforms at the railway station and spent our night there. We waited from 12:43am to 8:00am, with sticky yet smelly body, sitting on the bench in the awful environment, where you can’t breathe well due to the smell of urine and stools; dare not to fall asleep especially when there are strange eyes staring at you like an alien. It get worse around 5am, where the station started to get crowded, black crowds on the opposite platforms were staring at 2 fair aliens that glow within them.

During that long night, I was so afraid and worry. My mind keeps thinking of many things, my family, my friends, my staffs, my works (SHOULDN’T BE LOR!!) and someone that I really care and love. That moment, I only think of going back to the love one, nothing else.

After this incident, I find out few things that very useful and great for those who intended to backpack to India.

Ignore those who proactively approach you
Never trust the one who being bona fide and actively approach you
Never trust the one who can speak very fluent English and actively approach you
Never trust the one who trying to impersonating as a official authority. Only those dressed with uniform has the rights to order or check from you
Beware when your driver is talking over the mobile phone while you are on-board. They might be calling someone to inform them your arrival
Only go for PREPAID TAXI, owned by Indian Police. It was established to abolish touts from cheating tourist
Firm up your decision, trust your instinct (though may go wrong), but only trust yourself when you are in a country that is totally strange to you. If you think it is right, it will be right, better than being fooled by someone else

脑残一：《每日新闻》（Berita Harian）

我不懂到底那些脑残的人，做么那么没脑，日本地震引发海啸，目前还处于紧急状态，身为媒体的《每日新闻》（Berita Harian）竟然脑残到刊登咸蛋超人因海啸而落荒逃跑！

脑残二：首相夫人罗斯玛

身为首相夫人，说的每一字、每一句固然重要，因为堂堂的首相夫人却时时刻刻“代夫从军”，干政！所以成功的男人，背后都有个女人，不为过！但为何首相夫人发表如此脑残的话？她说日本的天灾是一种教训，这是因为日本发展的疏忽，没考虑到周遭环境。

如果是这样，那我们槟城人是否应该就2004年海啸袭击槟城事件而向许子根追究？

麻烦一下环境局的陈华贵，请拿地图和地理报告给我们的“第一夫人”。如果环境局“太过先进”而没有报告，那请向《国家地理》（National Geography）索取，我相信他们很乐意教导脑残的人。

脑残三：环境部长陈华贵及内阁

建核电厂？美国曾经发生爆炸。台湾总统马英九也开始关注兴建中的第三座核电厂。日本目前是最佳借镜，一个先进国从研发核电以来，已多次发生核漏事件，目前多座核电厂已爆炸，辐射更是难以避免。连一个先进国都无法避免及解决目前的危机，试问一下马来西亚能吗 ?

而我们的陈先生竟然说“不检讨”核电厂计划，而且执意推行，原因是大马地理位置等都不同他国。试问他脑残吗？大马周遭没海吗？邻国没火山、没地震吗？别告诉我大马从未遭到他国天灾影响。我国虽没地震，但为何建筑物及公共设施等都出现裂痕？现在你见的是一发难以收拾的“核”叻! 英文叫Nuclear，脑残的到底懂不懂？！

原本不出声的蔡小力，现在开口说政府应该检讨哦，可笑！不见危机，样样OK；一见问题，也不说反对，但要“检讨”！原因是不想间接支持林首长之前的坚决反对？见仁见智！

马来西亚最常见的就是“Tak ada spare parts, kena import dari luar Negara, tak tahu bila baru boleh guna” （本地没有零件，必需从国外入口，不懂何时才可用）。这句话就是我于2010年10月到槟城移民厅欲使用唯一一台的Kiosk更新护照，但Kiosk却坏了。询问官员何时修复，换来的却是不懂何时会维修。

脑残四：许子根

人家开FB,他开FB，开的第一天，得意洋洋；不到五分钟，海啸来袭，负面评语如潮。眼见那么多人不喜欢他，他索性快快的关掉Wall Posting。只有他本人可以Post而已，但是我们还是可以Comment的，所以大家一样“支持”他到底！

脑残五：全国民青团组织秘书朱笙鑫

我清楚记得我有一位旧同事，她很爱对脑残的人说，“Lu Si Too huh?”（你是猪唬？）。在这里我没说谁是猪，原对号入座，请便！因为现在我想说的就是另一位脑残及政治破产的脑残！

他护主心切，眼见他的“头”被人连番轰炸，于是就政治破产到说轰炸的人都是民联的野蛮人。在这里我想向朱说，我是一位堂堂正正的合格选民，而我的确非常讨厌许子根，更讨厌像你这种借题发挥、借刀杀人的小人！我不是民联党员，但我身为槟城人，我身为许子根的学弟，我以他引以为耻，有够羞耻！

而朱叻也很胆小的，和他的“头”一样，没用、怕事。眼见被轰炸，就把Comment换掉，现在只允许会员comment。

怪心情

不知怎么了，今天总觉得特别怪。心情复杂之余，也想多了些。很久都不动“笔”的我，今天我总算“拿起笔”来，想说出今天的怪心情，因为闷在心里，就是很难受。

其实我还有很多与旅游相关的都还没Po上，但最近却懒性十足，也因为无法像以前随时上网的原因，所以搁置了一段时间。其实目前只是等着最佳时间Po上而已，只不过不懂为何一天又一天，一月又一月的过去，我还是无法顺利的Po上。

说我改变，我的确改变了很多，变得比以前更讲义气，更懂得珍惜现在，也懂得忏悔。我大多时间都是无所事事，人生变得朴素，不爱打扮，更不懂奖赏自己；不像以前般，拥有十足的动力及冲劲，爱美在所不惜，不怎么踩油门也可像法拉利般奔驰。人就是如此，往往都要跌了才知道有多痛，流血了才知道什么叫悔不当初。一次又一次，我真的知道痛了，也希望自己能在短时间内脱胎换骨。

我属于比较文静的人，不喜欢吵也不喜欢闹，最好是别吵架或时时刻刻烦着我。新年将近时，阿姨从日本回来，二姐从柔佛回来，三姐从澳洲回来，家里真的好不热闹！但有时也会有一些摩擦，误会及口角在所难免。

时间永远都是神偷。人类最大的敌人其实就是时间，走过了就不能再回头，留下了岁月，但它却从不告诉我们它在我们的生命里剩下多少电力，还可以走多久。

妈妈随朋友去游玩，三姐和侄儿也回澳洲，好朋友Wallace也将于明天回悉尼。突然间，整个家顿时静了下来，心里突然觉得少了很多东西（其实感觉上比较像失去），寂静、难过。心里、脑海里一直重复着Diddy/Dirty Money的Coming Home，原来是我自己告诉自己我希望他们对着我唱“I’m coming home, I’m coming home, tell the world I’m coming home”。这时我才发现原来一家人吵吵闹闹才是最幸福快乐的。现在最想做的是弥补我对父母的不孝。

其实我也很enjoy和朋友外出聊天。我不需要Old Town的装潢、Starbucks的服务、Coffee Bean的冷气、Papparich的人潮，我要的可以是买数瓶饮料再加点零食，然后在某友人家小聚或到海滨公园谈天，就那么简单。

很多事情并不是要在一大班人聚集时才说出口，这就是为什么我们叫它“心事”。

World's Best a.k.a. World's Worst

Sharing my past experiences with World's Best. Since everyone know how BEST they are, I've got a chance to experience the BEST within their organisation.

Not something fresh, it has always been news about passengers are complaining by lodging police report, filed for tribunal, or even getting help from ADUN or authority, as to get back their own compensation.

For the past 2 weeks, I’ve seen such cases again in TV and newspapers, claiming that the so called World’s Best has charged them not double, but 10 times higher than the prices; accusing passengers for not paying for the tickets; delay (no further notification after the last complaint) in refunds and etc.

I’ve encountered some minor issues with the World’s Best, not to that extend to file-in to tribunal, but to the extreme, I did lodge a complaint to the Public Complaint Bureau due to unreasonable administration fee incurred in the refund of tax only valid for international route, domestic route is not applicable, which is a DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. (According to the official statement issued by Ministry of Transport in Year 2005, airline operators should have refunded tax to “no-show” passengers.)

However, I am now very disappointed by the so-called World’s Best, as I find that they do not know what respect is. In my life, other than irresponsible yet rude recruitment firm called Agensi Pekerjaan Bright Prospect Sdn Bhd, I never felt so bad until I met S.Teh from World’s Best.

When I reach the office, I was greeted by Ms. Mak, a pretty yet friendly lady, at least she is showing the courtesy of welcoming you. But I was shocked when she was asking if I did bring along my resume as she had lost it. I was thinking, you can easily trace it from the email inbox, or you may have deleted the email as well?

All these while, though I sent out my resume, regardless if it's hardcopy or via email, I will get ready another copy, just in case employer did not print out or normally expecting you to submit your own copy. I was again shocked when she knew that I brought my own resume and said "good, coz my manager has not seen your resume". The question is if your manager hasn’t gone through my resume, then why are you calling me up for an interview? You already can't let me know what the current openings are, and now you are telling me your manager has not read my resume?

During our discussion, our point towards branding is different. Branding is the first impression that people perceived. Normally it is about identity and image. You can position your own branding but eventually it will still depending on public’s perception. From there, you know how many miles you need to go from there. Example, how many know that Toyota Malaysia is wholly owned by UMW Group? Without the sign “UMW Toyota Motors” printed on plate number of Toyota vehicles? Without the recent massive advertising in enhancing the UMW’s corporate image and position the branding, how many know that UMW is a conglomerate and their core business in fact is oil and gas?

Obviously she is telling me what is her doing but I strongly find that she should not deny my answer. Just like US English and UK English, you are practicing UK English, I am US English, when I define low cost residential buildings as apartment, you can't say that I am wrong, it should be define as flat. If you check the dictionary or if you are lazy, google it, both are sharing same definition, it is only the geographical and cultural differences. In this case, he is asking my perception, I am telling what I perceived the company as a brand, but she said I make a mistake. If that so, it will be your responsibility as you failed to create a brand that you want in others.

I have been dealing in marketing for so long and branding started in recent years, no one has doubted my capability in this area. I am certainly very upset when she said "you don't know branding". She needs to understand 2 situations, she is asking my point of view towards branding of World’s Best; second, she is telling me the brand they have positioned or wanted the World’s Best to be. It is alright if she is correcting me but saying I do not know branding is not only an insult but doubted my profession and previous experiences as a marketer and branding manager.

I would suggest other than getting to know the things related to your specialisation and job scope, trying to read and understand the people born in 80s and 90s, and reports or analysis that related to human behaviors, generally from newspaper. I do not deny her passion and seriousness in her duty, however, in order to manage a team well, you need to know all kinds of people you are dealing with, the world is changing, so do you.

My experiences don’t seem to be impressive, however young or not young, it's not something you can determined, even a 50 years old man could be young in his heart, just like her boss. You don't judge a book by its cover, in other words, you don't define or judge people based on the look and age. I admit my resume may shown that I wasn't in the position for, however, it is also proven that I am capable and has whatever it takes to climb up the stairs from the bottom, I was given a chance to explore and develop myself.

Moreover, if you are getting such a great offer and headhunted by someone, don't you feel that you are indeed valuable and useful to the employer? Don't you look for better prospect and at the same time expand your knowledge, vision and career advancement? They are many successful professionals has worked for numbers of MNCs and handled different tasks. When you know you had reached the climax in your jobs, the challenges will become a routine, once you are tired or bored, you will slightly demotivated. By the time, you will think of changing to a better environment and to be appreciated by other high profile organisations.

Do not tell me when you get headhunted by someone with better offers, you wouldn't want to consider the opportunity. Even their Head of Ancillary would resign and joined Carat Group as a Director. What has this proven? Who can guarantee that their Head of Commercial and CEO or mobile network provider would not want leave one day?

I am certainly upset when she only looks at the duration of services instead of my positions and job scope. She is again and again showing her attorney and disagreement. An interviewer should be humble and approachable by candidate. I find a Berlin Wall is right in front of me. I would like to ask “Have you carefully and properly read every single word that printed on the A4 papers that I presented to you. If you are not ready, why are you wasting our time and resources to meet up?”

In the event so happen that she read my blog, and she felt being insulted, she should be and feel sorry. I am just being bona fide by sharing my experience, so that those who so happen to bump into her for an interview may be well prepared for being disrespect.

Yes, you are not here to teach but you can't stop me to learn. Learning doesn't mean one must teach then only you can learn, learn is how you adapting yourself into new and diverse environment, how can you cope with it. Even if you hired a very experienced professional, once he is place on the floor, he will need to learn every single thing surrounding him especially people, culture and style.

Lake Toba, World's Largest Supervolcanic Lake

Date of visit : 20-22 March 2010

Destination : Medan/Lake Toba, Indonesia

Just about 2 months away, I am departing to Indonesia again. This time, I am not visiting Java Island, but Medan and Lake Toba in Sumatra Island, west of Peninsular Malaysia. In fact, it is not my wish to travel nor it is in my plan. It is a spontaneous decision due to the stress and hardship that comes to me. I just need to find a way to relax and relieves from those “tragedies”.

Once again, we are taking MAS, cost RM169.00 per person for return trip, departing from KL to Medan, the air fare is cheaper than AirAsia, certainly I would go for the better one.

Once we touched down Polonia International Airport, we proceed to take cab to the Bus Express Terminal. We were expecting taxi driver to send us to the terminal, but he is recommending us to take mini van to Lake Toba as taking bus would be very troublesome. We felt that we kinda like being cheated by him, we paid the taxi fare at a fixed rate IDR50,000 but he is not taking us to the terminal, but dropping us at a travel agency which is not really far from the airport.

After checking with the travel agency, we find that the cost is kinda alright, so we paid about IDR90,000 per person for one way trip. And I was so naïve, thought that we will be taking air-conditioned van like Toyota Unser, in the end, we are taking a very old non-air conditioned Mitsubishi van. Bad bad bad…

The journey from Medan to Parapat (jetty of Lake Toba) takes approximately 5 hours. Majority are already complaint for taking 3-4 hours in AirAsia flight, imagine that I am sitting on a non-adjustable seat, without air-conditioned, no in-flight entertainment, for at least 5 hours!! Luckily the driver makes a stop at a small rest station. We were hungry but there is nothing to eat, we only can buy some snacks and ice-cream to kill our time and boredom while waiting for the driver to eat.

About 4 hours later, you will know that you are about to eat when the van is going uphill, you can feel the cool breeze and seeing many buses coming from the opposite. Especially when the van is approaching Lake Toba, the lake doesn’t look like a lake, but SEA!! It is big yet hazy and cool, you wouldn’t know if you are 2800 feet above the sea level.

We were sent to a restaurant named Pondok Karen in Parapat for lunch and meet up with the person-in-charge of the travel agency. He then asking us about our trip and of course pushing on sales, persuading us to get a return trip to Medan or airport. After the discussion and bargaining, we eventually agreed with the offer, IDR80,000 per person, taking the same Mitsubishi van, sigggghhhhh……………………………

After lunch, he guided us to the jetty. Staff from our accommodation Samosir Cottages named Padi also came to the jetty to guide us there. Cost for the ferry is IDR7,000 per person, and for the accommodation is IDR145,000 per room per night. We were totally amazed by Lake Toba as it really doesn’t look like a lake. The temperature is less than 25°C and contains high humidity. In the middle of Lake Toba is Samosir Island. Lake Toba was created due to a massive explosive eruption of super volcanic over 75,000 years ago. I assumed that was the “2012” that revitalize the world?!

Foods there are not expensive at all, we were underestimate the foods there. On the first night, we dine-in in our accommodation, we ordered “Nasi Ayam Rendang” and “BBQ Seafood Rice”, and a glass of Avocado juice. The portion of each dish apparently is more than enough for 2 persons, and we ordered 2 dishes, meaning it is enough for 4. The avocado juice is also 100% freshly squeeze, without adding water or ice. The thickness is really there and you will definitely be easily satisfied, but seriously I can’t stand the thickness, I ordered a glass of ice and obviously I can make another 2-3 glasses of avocado juice. The cost of the rice is about IDR23,000 per dish, avocado juice is around IDR18,000. Whenever you go Indonesia, PLEASE, REMEMBER TO ORDER their signature beer BINTANG!! It is produced by Heineken, taste good!!

On the second day, we woke up very early just to catch the sunrise moment. The scenery is amazing yet beautiful, relaxing and giving you peace and calm.

We then rent a motor to explore the secret of Lake Toba. We rented the bike from about 11am-700pm, cost us about IDR120,000. We riding on the bike, visiting the town, Batak cultures and museum, paddy field, mountain and even took a challenge to sit on bike for 2 hours, to visit "nothing-to-visit" hot spring on the north of Samosir Island. Riding on motor is not something easy for us. We fell down 3 times and the last one is the worst ever, as we fell on the bridge which is about 7 feet height, if we really fell into the river, I guess we would be dead.

The people there are great and kind enough, while the business operators are always concerns about money.

On the last day of the trip, we were supposed to leave early in the morning, so I purposely make all the payment the night before we leave. We also get Padi to arrange a transfer to another port, where the ferry will depart at 730am. However, on that early morning, we found out that no one is in the front desk nor office, apparently the arrangement was not being scheduled. We then met the Manager/Owner Mr. Bloom, we told him our situation, then he offered us a transfer by using his Innova. In the car, we were shocked when he asked "have you paid for this trip?". We were not told to pay for such transfer when we checked with the person-in-charge earlier. I replied "No, but we have paid everything last night before we officially checked-out this morning." He then drop us at the junction instead of sending us further. He was requesting us to walk further down then on the first right of an alley, turn right, then we reach the jetty/port. I am definitely shocked and upset.

When we got to the jetty in Parapat, we are facing another issues. The travel agency is trying to "push" us to car pool with other passengers from other travel agency, car offered are Toyota Unser, but we were requested to pay extra IDR30,000 per person as upgrade fees. We felt like being cheated again, and eventually I bargained for IDR20,000 per person. Of course, we were sent to Polonia International Airport in Medan 2 hour earlier, we even have extra time to sit and dine in Dunkin Donut.

One month after I came back from Medan, I received an email from Mr. Bloom of Samosir Cottages. In the email he was saying that he reserved a room for me, however I did not show up. I was very upset to see this. It is more than enough to proven that everything is “about the money”. I’ve had much interaction with him, I couldn’t find any reason that he would not remember me. January 31, 2010 – Malang / Mt. Bromo

We reached Surabaya Gubeng Train Station around 10:30pm, which is later than we expected. We were worrying if we are able to reach Helios Tour office to join the Bromo Midnight Tour in Malang by 1:00am. Without much consideration, we had come up with an emergent planning, we will take cab rather than bus to Purabaya Terminal (aka Bungur Asih).

The ethics of the taxi driver is also similar as in Malaysia, rather dealing an amount than using the meters. I was bargaining with the pricing and eventually I agreed to pay him IDR42,000. Fortunately my calculation was right. When we reached there, the meter was showing IDR42,500, if adding the parking fee of IDR2,000, by right I should be paying him IDR44,500. The taxi driver must be amazed and impressed, he even stopped his car along the road and help us to catch the bus to Malang. Eventually he managed to lead us to the last bus from Surabaya to Malang around 11:40pm.

The journey doesn’t take too long, approximately 1:30 hours for the midnight drive. The only thing I could not accept is the bus is a 5-seater per row. The seats are so small and definitely not meant for obese. It was so packed till you have to walk horizontally, just like a walking crab.

Once we get off the bus, we took cab to Helios Tours office. Surprisingly, only both of us will be joining the trip to Bromo. After simple cleansing up, the English-speaking tour guide Budi and driver Harry is about to bring us to the peak of Mt Penanjakan and Mt. Bromo.

I have checked several tour recommendations online on the routes to Bromo. However, our time is very limited and I certainly do not want to miss out such opportunity to visit Bromo. That is why we are sacrificing our sleeping hours. To those who need to sleep or bring a sleeping beauty, such midnight trip is not recommended.

Other than the spectacular view and cradles of volcano, Mt. Bromo is still an active volcano. Once you climbed up the stairs to the peak, you can clearly see the sulfur smoke came out from the cradle, also you can clearly hear the sounds of "activities".

In the afternoon, other than the introduction of not very popular attractions, Budi and Harry brought us to the last destination - Singoraja Temple nearby Malang Town. We thought that Is the end of our journey in Malang, but Budi and Harry did something beyond our expectations. They brought us to the city centre of Malang, where it is a combination of CBD, recreations and administration.

Before we are leaving Malang, we asked Harry to drop us at Gajahmada Graha Hotel. The hotel look exactly like a castle more than a hotel. Although we don't have the chance to spend a night, we decided to have our lunch in the restaurant named "Cleopetra" in this beautiful castle. Every thing looks great, only the food turns out to be otherwise, it is not that awful but comparing to my cooking skills, I dare to say I am MUCH better than their cook.

After having our disappointing lunch in a “castle”, we took mini bus (in fact it is a very mini van) that cost us IDR3000 per person to Malang’s Arjosari Terminal. Before entering the bus ticketing counter, you have to pay a nominal fee of IDR800/1000, then you can proceed to any ticketing counters to purchase your ticket. We have decided to take on-the-spot and ready-to-go executive class bus. Don’t be too happy when you heard that it is a business or executive class bus. Compare with our buses such as Konsortium or 4-seater Plusliner or Transnasional, they are even worse. Just imagine that you have a squeeze a little bit in an executive class bus for the journey that takes about 2-3 hours, and the air-conditioner is not working fine, it cost IDR15000.

When we reached Surabaya’s Pura Baya Terminal, the time is already 6 in the evening. We decided to take public bus that only cost IDR2500 to our accommodation, Mercure Surabaya Hotel. It is a 4-star hotel managed by world’s renowned hospitality Accor, the cost per night is only RM150.00, booked via Travelocity.com. There is nothing much nearby the hotel, however, we were told there is a moderate shopping mall right behind the hotel, operating 24/7, so you don’t have to worry if you are hungry and needed to buy souvenirs, the store has everything you need, just make sure you bring enough cash, lolxxxx

Since we have not much time and the night is still young, we took a cab to Surabaya’s largest shopping mall Tunjungan Plaza. The mall is bigger than I expected, you can find lot of international brands, however, not every boutique are offering prices lower than KL.

Surabaya, to me, is a great city with Chinese and friendly Indonesian. Comparing to KL, I think I like Surabaya more.

February 01, 2010 - Surabaya

Today is the last day staying in Indonesia. It is my first visit, though you can see the gap between poverty and wealthy, one thing you can’t deny is they are very friendly. Years ago, they might had hatred and discrimination towards foreigner and Chinese, right now, what I can see is harmony.

Before leaving the hotel, we were camwhore at the lobby. I thought that we might reach the airport on time but I was really wrong, the journey took longer than I expected and it is definitely far away from the hotel. It takes about 45 minutes to reach the airport.

Though we are taking Malaysia Airlines, however we started to feel panic as we know we might “missed” the flight. When we reached the check-in counter, we faced another problem. Everyone who is leaving Indonesia must be paying Departure Tax (Airport Tax) of IDR150000 or RM70 per person. When we heard that, we were shocked and helpless, because we DO NOT have enough cash. We took out every notes and coins we have, either in Indonesian Rupiah or Malaysian Ringgit, it is still insufficient.

Without wasting more time, I went to the ATM and trying to withdraw cash by using my credit card, but the transaction was failed due to wrong password. I even called the bank and talked on the phone for so long, seeking solutions and assistances from them but to my surprise, they are NOT ABLE TO RESET PASSWORD for me. I was very pissed and disappointed by this “World’s Local Bank”. I used to work in world’s renowned charge card company as Authorisation Analyst and I certainly know they are able to RESET MY PASSWORD.

Half way I was begging for assistance on the phone, my friend and a custom officer were looking for me. My friend told me that the custom officer has granted us the approval to check-in with the cash we have on hand. We both were so thankful and glad that he is giving us a very helping hand. Otherwise, I’m gonna miss the flight and spending more, or maybe we will be locked-up in Surabaya.

I’ve learned a lesson, better safe than sorry. It is best to have more cash either in own or local currency on hand than facing troubles.

If Malaysia Boleh, then Malaysian must be Boleh, but I wonder how many Malaysians really Boleh?!

I think majority of Malaysians are just too naive, they are Boleh because they always follow the trends. Seeing what you are using and going after, everyone will be doing the same, so what is the difference with Kiasu Singaporean?

Uniqlo is coming to Kuala Lumpur (Already officially launched on Nov 04, 2010 at Fahrenheit 88 Plaza), apparently they claimed that they are CHEAP JAPANESE FASHION. Majority of Malaysians are so crazy about it, keep joining and talking about Uniqlo before it is coming to town. Even Uniqlo's Facebook can get more than 20K fans before the official launch date.

Okay, you know Uniqlo is the cheap japanese brand, but how many of you know about Uniqlo MALAYSIA? How many of you know about origin of Uniqlo? I am pissed when I saw some wannabes posted "Uniqlo is Singapore's famous brand, they are coming to Kuala Lumpur". When I read the online news about Uniqlo will be hitting Malaysian shores, I was happy but I am also disappointed right after I got to know DNP Clothing is the franchisee (although business formation is known as joint-venture perspective with 45.00% stake). I am disappointed because I knew that prices of Uniqlo clothing in Malaysia would not be as cheap as in Japan, HK and other countries. Why do I say that?

First, DNP clothing is a member of WingTai Asia from Singapore. To be frank, I hate Singaporean's Retail Management due to their egoness, disrespect and autocracy. Thinking they gonna offer the price like HKD99 = MYR41.25 (conversion rate of MYR1.00 = HKD2.40)? You should be thankful for not charging you HKD99.00 = MYR99.00

Second, DNP Clothing is also franchisee of TopShop, TopMan, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins and Diva . Comparing the prices of TopShop in UK, after conversion of Pounds Sterling to Ringgit Malaysia, do you see the differences? Yes, apparently the conversion rate is also much higher than the market currency rate.

If you are telling me that they have to take other facts such as freight, taxes and etc into consideration, bear in mind that the cost of these type of FAST FASHION is cheap and franchisee would have rights to choose and import any designs from the outsourcing manufacturers from China, Vietnam, and etc. Best example, you can find exactly the same made-in-China design from Forever 21 in TAMAN CONNAUGHT PASAR MALAM.

Throughout the period of mid of October to 7 of November, my Facebook wall was flooded by annoying "Uniqlo" fans, it's either the photo before or after their opening, that's why I called "S I E N L O", basically it mean "boring to see it". Seeing so many people who have bought Uniqlo are as proud as they have just returned from war with victory. Also, keep telling others "how cheap" they have spent, in fact, if they just need to have to get to know a little knowledge, they wouldn't have been fooled.

If you think queuing for 2 hours to get in, an hour to try out the clothes and 2 hours to make the payment is simply worth it, then go ahead. All you need to remember is if you are staying in KL and majority have also bought the so-called best selling T-shirt (e.g. Mickey Mouse), the chances to bump into someone (or more) wearing the same design, I have no doubts.

Think twice before you go for it. To me, it is not worth buying in Malaysia.

心意比不上手信 Materialism Speaks Louder

我曾经在面子书写了一句“下一个部落,看谁对号入座”。

其实我要说的只是宣泄个人不满，没特别针对任何人，因为对我来说，这是常人的毛病，但不应该重犯。

Q: 问一问大家，你们出国旅行时，回国前，会不会买些手信给好朋友呢？
A: 我会！

Q: 但通常你们买的，是不是属于较负担得起(因为人数问题），也可能是他人都已经买过的Common Gift呢？
A: 对，我的就是。

我自问我出国次数比他人多，而且无论多没时间，我每一次都费尽心思、绞尽脑汁地在想，送这些给他们，他们会不会嫌弃？所以我买的要不是当地的食物，就是比较不一样的Common Gift。而且我一直在想，好朋友嘛，应该不会那么计较。

也因为此次的旅游去得比较远，兑换率也很高，所以心想买Common Gift，再加点东西在Common Gift上，变成Special Gift, 应该不会嫌了吧！

可是一切还是出乎意料。有些没说什么，心里总会有怨言（看脸色），但没说出口嘛，我当然不会去批评。有些呢，则说了一些不应该说的---

“我有很多了，每次出国肯定会买的，我都不知要摆哪里。”
我买的是一份心意，代表我出国后，依然重视你们，依然记得你们，可是我得到的却不是你们的Appreciation，而是你们的Criticism。难道要我买真金白银才算数？试问换成我对你们说这些话，你们有何感受？

“食物很难吃。”

食物，因为标榜着是当地出产的土产，我本身也没吃过，更不知是什么味道，只是因为没买手信，所以就选择了食物，也可以与大家分享。如果是我觉得真的很难吃，我也会点到即此，譬如甜了点，或不是很合胃口。而不是“很难吃”伤人话。很难吃，你要我负责吗？

听了后，那种感觉就是酸的，而且还是在你面前说。但说这些话的人却没想一想他们本身是否有曾如此有心呢？有些甚至连糖果都没有，这我不想多说。

话虽说大家都是好朋友，应该不会介意，一次无所谓，两次依然可原谅，三次就免了！凡事情站在他人立场想想，也想一想自己是否有资格去批评他人的一番心意！

对我说谢谢的，我也说声谢谢，谢谢你们如果你们懂这只是一份心意。

There was once I typed "Let's see who will be condenming in my next blog post" in my Facebook.

In fact I just wanna telling my frustration, I'm not pointing at anyone, however such incident is always happen, perhaps that is human being, but should behaved.

Question : When you are travelling overseas, do you buy souvenirs to your friends when you return?
Answer : I would!

Question : However, the gift that you've bought normally could it be an affordable common gift to you and it may have been bought by others?
Answer : Yes, that's what I bought.

Straight to the point, I was travelling couple of times. No matter how busy I was, I always trying my best to figure out what souvenir to buy for my friends. At the same time, taking certain facts into consideration to make sure they won't be complaining. Hence, I will buy either local foods or customised common gift. Moreover, I keep telling myself, they are my best buddies, they won't be mind.

On top of that, I was travelling further this time, and was striked by the high conversion currency too, that's why the customised common guft came to my mind immediately, make it as a "Special Gift", so that it will looks different from others.

Unfortunately I was wrong. Some of them did not say a word but from their expression when they first sighted the gift, I know what's on their mind. They are only minority voice out their dissatisfaction that is consider harsh to me:-

"I have got many, it's a routine buy for those who went there, I don't even know where to place this"
I bought a heart, an appreciation. It represent our friendship and your status in my heart, however, I did not get any words of appreciation but criticism. Will you only be satisfied with goldsmiths? How would you feel if you were me?

"The food is disgusting"
Reason I bought food is because it is a well-known local product, moreover, I did not buy any other souvenirs. I haven't tried it before, so I was thinking maybe I can share with them too at the same time. Whether the food taste good or not, it is totally out of my control, definitely not my responsibility as well. If I were them, though the food is really awful, I will only briefly telling them that I can't get used to the taste or just a little sweet and etc. You wouldn't find me saying the harsh word "disgusting".

Apparently I am hurt when your besties saying that to you. But I am hoping them to recall their memories if they have done the job like I did, re-think if they are qualified to criticise others.

Though we are good friends and they might think I should not get mad over these. However, I would like to strongly emphasize that if such incident happen for the first time, I will be ifne. If it repeat as second incident, I am still fine. But why do you need to repeat for the third time when you had done it for twice?!

什么是1Malaysia?

有谁能告诉我什么是一个马来西亚？

其实这个问题很讽刺。话说当拉曼神话(R.A.H.M.A.N.)的N上台后，深信自己领导的阵线自308政治海啸后，已不能像M时代那么容易把人民当佣人般看待。眼看敌对阵营打和谐牌，干脆就来了“一个马来西亚”。不同种族有不同的诠释；不同的政党有不同的诠释；不同的人也有不同的诠释。什么时候，我们才能看到真正的马来西亚呢？

教育问题
国家独立五十三年，但看起来像是刚独立三五年。为人师表，理应更应该推广和平及和睦相处，现在已经什么年代了？所谓教不严，师之过；师不教，师之过；生之过，师之过也！难道推广种族主义才是校长及老师真正的职务吗？

如果非马来人被视为寄居者就该滚回祖国，那为何你们又那么霸道般的强硬占领“他人”国土呢？这行为和以色列侵入及占领巴勒斯坦有什么分别？自己在反以色列时，却也在为自己的霸道及过错加以掩饰，强词夺理，还要怪罪土生土长的马来西亚人，做贼的喊捉贼，真的是不懂羞耻。华人注重根，他们呢？好像不懂自己是否有根！如果马来亚真正的土著要区分“印尼来的马来人”，他们往哪找根？华人五千年历史（或更久，最近出土的遗物已改写历史）不是靠的！

这是LEASEHOLD
什么是新经济政策？简单一句，就是这迟迟不废的政策造就了所谓的马来主权。这社会契约其实和Leasehold（租赁）没两样，因为它是有期限的，而不是Freehold(永久）。但是就是某党一直都在强调未达到预期的标准，而一而再再而三的延长了社会契约。而最让人惊喜的是连联昌集团(CIMB)首席执行员兼首相亲弟弟纳西尔也对哥哥完整保留的政策有话说。显然口口声声说代表华人的派系却保持低调，呃一声都怕！而且还要靠华商的力量才敢敢在台上放话，是在帮华商争取机会仰或借华商过桥？

马来西亚人不好当
Jamal在某极端卖华眼里（http://moonpalace001.blogspot.com)，他被说反华人的种族主义者；在某极端污桶眼里，他被说成出卖自己人的反骨仔。有脑的人都知道，如果Jamal是反华人，那么他又如何能在988里当收听率高的早晨清谈节目主持人？不怕被华社或卖华搞（其海报、广告等到处可见）吗？

Theory（语言）比Practical（行动）重要
本土100%制作的“马来西亚电影”，因为没有60%的马来文，却被标签为“外语片”，以征收高达20%的税收。这和新经济政策有关吗？为何要有如此的标签？想当年本土最感性的导演Yasmin Ahmad所拍摄的Sepet，虽然是100%大马制作，但就是戏里的马来文不足60%，而被列为“外语片”。我可以说电检局不爱大马人以行动说“我爱马来西亚”吗？

不爱国
本地专才以非土著居多。他们到国外发展，却被说成不爱国。试问非土著的发展空间大吗？拥有五十三年经验的帼镇，除了要我们谨言，有时还要禁言！我虽然很想外国专才回马（毕竟我也有亲人及朋友选择外国或邻国），但我比较希望的是他们可回来投票。

身为马来西亚人，我不会向国外朋友说我是华侨，因为我真正的身份是马来西亚公民，我爱我的国家，但我厌倦了五十三年的腐败。所以我一定会善用我手中的那一票，希望来届大选不会是一场海啸，而是世纪2012。

现在马来西亚人最想看到的不是一成不变，而是一定要改变。五十三年，够了，乌烟瘴气，空气污染指数已达到非常危险水平！帼镇说，国家会在2019年破产！连管了五十三年，经验老到的帼镇也会搞到国家破产，这证明了他们的无能。

旧的不去，新的不来。是时候我们做老板的要清理门户啦...

自娱自语之正面思想

距离上一篇也将近两个月没更新了
很多人都在问，“没update吗？”
其实是我本身有事务在身
加上人类的懒细胞作怪
而且更不想为了写而写
我又不是靠部落来赚钱的

之前的我失恋了
可是很戏剧性的让我找到了另一半
相识过程虽然奇怪及略带尴尬
但至今我们都相处得很好
至少人不幼稚、思想也很成熟
最重要的是不盲目追求不切实际的白日梦
脚踏实地的朝向自己的目标前进
内心健全发展且不死爱面子
简单一句 - 谦虚 / Humble / Rendah Diri

事业方面则“有又好像没有、没有又好像有”
我要再创事业另一高峰其实是有很大的阻碍
人生嘛就是如此毕竟有上后必有下
下了后才懂得要如何更上一层楼
前景看起来并不怎么明朗
可是不至于看不到前景
我需要的就是更多人的鼓励及祝福
事业一旦稳定了
我也会离开那“是非地”

生活方面我依然放纵
回到家乡不忘健身室
天天报到也只为在最短的时间内
增加自己的自信心及魅力
而下个月会到中国游玩
回马五天后会到澳洲探亲
明年七月去不了西边的英国伦敦
索性和好友到西边的印度新德里
往好一方面想
那也是位于大马的西方啊！

咬着金钥匙的少爷也有遇“瓶颈”的一天
凡是往好的那一方面想
再大的天塌下来
你也会觉得是好事
遇难题就得自己解决
别老是只会要求身边人来解决
没学又怎会成长呢？

日惹 Yogyakarta - 婆羅浮屠 Borobudur - 婆罗摩火 Mount Bromo - 玛琅 Malang - 泗水 Surabaya

半夜4时30分，天还没亮，我们就得起身，准备加入由酒店提供的婆羅浮屠半夜游。原本还以为有一大班游客，结果是只有我们两人和一对日本游客。但对于导游的服务，他简直当我们没到，可能我们并不是日本人。

前往婆羅浮屠的路途并不远，只是沿路较黑暗，所以酒店也提供了特制的手电筒。

处于黑暗的婆羅浮屠，看起来依然很壮观。

原来我们并不是最早的，已经有一大班游客在寻找“热点”以猎取最佳的拍摄镜头。

虽然多云，日出的那一刻也是象征着最佳的一天开始了。

在这儿也可瞭望到Java的两座火山。

这儿给的感觉就是世外桃源，很有Avatar的feel。

每个塔里都有一尊佛像。佛像的设计也有些不一样，有的是无头佛，有些却是无臂佛。

时间越迟，游客也越来越多，特别是学生及当地的游客，落落不绝。连绵不绝

看完日出，虽然还是依依不舍，但时间并不多，所以得立即回酒店吃一顿丰富的早餐，然后再回到日惹。

原本计划搭巴士当一当本地人回日惹，最后因为考虑到时间的关系，也特意和一的士司机讨价还价，从原本的150,000减至60,000。算赚到咯！

接下来的行程是市区游。走一走，遇上多名三轮车夫，我们觉得避之则安之，就是因为贪小便宜吧，结果上了一名车夫的当。车夫说只需5,000印尼盾，他会带到我们环绕市区，参观五个地点，然后回送我们到火车站。但这五个地方不是卖东西的就是博物馆，只要我们买东西或给入门票，车夫就可从中得到佣金。所以有些我们根本没兴趣的地方如博物馆等，我们都取消了。后来可能是我们花太多时间在当地的画家上，车夫不知是赶时间还是什么的，竟然打完斋不要和尚，要我们自己想办法到火车站。我们却硬要画家代我们传话，而画家也要求车夫带我们到火车站。上了车后，我们真的上“车”了！离开原地不到500米，车夫把我们丢给另一专业车夫（背后有合法公司操作）。

我下车时还好心问那不负责任的车夫，是否要付他5,000印尼盾，他拒绝了。我心想那这5,000印尼盾应该是给新车夫吧。时间所剩无几，车夫还带我们倒土产店，我们立即要求他载送倒火车站，下车后，他竟然向我们索取25,000印尼盾，我们即刻傻眼！而我也不是省油的灯，直接开火，给了他5,000印尼盾，然后要求他自行寻找那不负责任的车夫，他只好无奈接受。

到了火车站，火车已经在等待了，如果我们在稍迟5分钟，我们肯定会错过此班次。此班次是前往泗水 (Surabaya)，大概需要五个小时，我们硬逼自己睡足五个小时，但可睡两个小时已经算不错了，毕竟火车到了泗水，我们的行程就是一直走下去，没多余的休息时间。而且火车又摇摆不定，而且喜欢中途停车，我心想，如此一走一停，犹如三步一下跪，那我们需要多久时间才会到达泗水呢？

结果花了5小时30分我们才到泗水Gubeng站。因为时间越来越紧凑，已经是十时四十分，我们必须从这儿搭的士前往Purabaya (又称Bungur Asih) 巴士站。在那又遇上了讨价还价的的士司机，谈了蛮久的，最后我献意42,000印尼盾 (40,000车费 + 2,000机场停车费)，司机才肯接受。还好我预算满准的，司机在行驶前开了计程表，而到达巴士站时才42,500印尼盾。说我们赚了，我不否认，当我只会说我们没亏本，而且还有“额外服务”。

的士司机只把我们载送到巴士站的出口处，然后在那儿上车。司机知道我们人生路不熟，还下车陪我们一起等，结果一等就等到十二时，而且该巴士还是前往玛琅(Malang)的最后班次。一上车后，我又惊叹连连，因为这是我人生中，第一次坐如此不同凡响的巴士…

如果有机会遇见超人，你会问他的第一个问题是什么？

已经一个星期了，原来我挨不过一个星期。我不懂我什么时候变得如此脆弱及无助，发现自己越来越不像以前的我，开始不懂如何面对，却懂得如何逃避，这不是以前的我。

只为了不想让自己的爱人多想、多担心，不愿其他朋友操心，所以一次过将所有事情都往肚子里吞。但是它并没消化，而是在肚子里再酝酿，渐渐地膨胀，直到你觉得恶心，恨不得将它给吐出来。但通常吐出来的，都不是刚吞下的，反而是参杂了血与泪水。

问题接二连三发生，严重性是相等于一个计时炸弹，什么时候会引爆，我不懂。我很想拆弹，但我不懂从何下手，应该剪红线还是黄线，或是蓝线？若我选择红线，我会后悔一辈子，但我确实是不想拖累他，希望他有更好的选择及生活。若我选择黄线，难免友谊会有尴尬的时候，而如此敏感的话题，我确实开不了口。若我选择蓝线，那就是选择性逃避。

结果我选择了红线，也选择了蓝线，而黄线依然不懂如何是好，但这两条线足以让我陷入崩溃阶段。而我更糊涂，漠视了蓝线的重要性，因为它是连贯了红线及黄线，剪了它就等于引爆该炸弹。就这样大家都受伤了，而我更是陷入歇斯底里的状态，毁容无所谓，可是那颗滴血的心，已经难以再痊愈。

这几天，我像是一个孤独且失去灵魂的野鬼，一个人四处奔走，健身室、公园、购物广场等，能暂时收留我的，我也不放过。唯有在他们驱逐野鬼时，才是我真正要想要找的棲身之所，而那只有我的车，只有它陪伴着我。而我依然选择在外流浪，如街边狗般毫无头绪，不知往左或向右走，直到时间到了，才肯离开。有时压抑得在健身室突然呐喊，听见的人若无其事，听不见的却抓紧发根，恨不得把脑子里的烦恼都给拔出来。

其实我很怕寂寞，我已经有了爱情及友情的陪伴，所以很多时候我并不孤单。很多人都说，“朋友不需要多，一两个就好。”我身边真正的朋友事实并不多，数来数去，一个手掌，五根手指，数得完。以前的我很讨厌自己一个人，但现在我不得不一个人，可是痛苦的依然是我自己。无时无刻都会想起朋友的陪伴，想到他时也只能强忍住泪水。

有想过告诉他一切事由，但却害怕了吵架。我俩属硬派，外表吃硬内心却柔软。我外表常常血气方刚，见到他时却也不是一样儒弱得很。每当回到家，只能仰望着他可爱的睡姿，不发脾气、躺在我怀里时，的确让我甜上心头，我也已经很满足。

说实话，我真的很内疚。因为他是我最爱的，但我却给不到他要的。很多事情我不说出口，不是因为我不在乎你，而是因为我爱你，真的不想你再为我的事情添加烦恼。

对不起，不管怎样，对或错，我依然那么爱他。

话说回头，如果我遇见超人，那我会问的又是什么？

It has been a week, but hardly can I survive within a week. I do not know when I have became so weak and helpless, totally unlike myself, started to avoid the problems and don’t even know how to face it, I wasn’t like that.

Every time I’m trying my best to absorb every single thing by myself without telling or informing anyone, so that they would not worry about me especially my love one. However, things doesn’t go as planned, the problems seems to be rolling and swelling in your stomach, makes you feeling nauseous and you wanna split it out so badly. Unfortunately, the split was disgusting, can clearly seen to be mixed with tears and blood.

The problems keep happening, it is exactly same like a timing explosion, it could be explode anytime, without notice. While I’m trying my best to deactivate it, but how should I get started? Should I cut the red, yellow, or blue wires? Red represents relationship, once I have chosen red I know I will be regret for the rest of my life, but it is also one of the ways that he could have better living and happier life, rather than being suffered together with me. If yellow is my choice, I can hardly seeing friendship to be in the awkward moments due to certain sensitive topics, besides, I seriously do not know how to put it. If I have chosen blue, it is because I am avoiding.

Eventually I chosen red and blue wire, I was leaving yellow aside, but both cut wires are good enough to bring me into hell. I was confused, I neglected the importance of blue wire, as it is linked with red and yellow wires, cutting it off is just same as cutting myself into two, causing explosion. It has caused harm and injuries to everyone, while I was being dragged into black hole, totally collapsed. It is okay to be ugly, but the bleeding heart will hardly recover.

I was like a ghost that has lost its soul, not even can be described as a human, was wandering around alone in the gym, park, shopping malls and etc., as long as there is a place that where can accommodate me, I will surely grab it. The concerns only came to me when they are closing; the only place that could still accept and accompany me is my car. Sometimes I have chosen to walk around the streets like a vagrant dog, with no idea, rationality and directions, when time is up, then will only think of going home. There are times I was over-stress and was screaming out loud in the gym. Those who heard my screaming were neglecting me, while the one screamed hear nothing but grabbing own hair real tight and thinking to pull all the problems off the head.

Frankly I am afraid of being alone. I have my friends and lover to company me, most of the time I am not lonely. Many even told me that “one of two friends is more than enough.” I do not have much buddies around me, it is countable with a palm that has 5 fingers. I was so dislike being alone but now I have no choice, but to be alone, and I know the person that will be suffering is me. Majority of the time, I would think of friends that used to accompany me, whenever I think of my love one, it is even more heartache, that I wonder if I could control the flow of tears that flooding my eyes.

I have ever thought of confessing everything to her, but I am just too afraid of fights and arguments. We both are hot temper, looks hard from the outside but soft in the inner. I look tough from the outside, but real weak inside. By the time I reached home, she is already asleep; looking at her pretty face while she is sleeping in my arms, with no temper, it is the time that melts my heart most, pampering and it would already satisfied me.

I have to say I am really guilty as she is the one I love, however I could give her what she wants.

No matter what is right or wrong, the truth is I still love her.

Back to the first topic, if I happened to met Superman, what question will I be asking?

走访印尼世界自然遗产一 Discovering Ancient World of Indonesia I

将近两个月没更新了。因为最近发生了很多事情，所以根本没那心情写下去。可能是累了吧，也不想再把事情多加放在心上，所以只好置身之外，不去想！

不过我还是要回到一月份，因为我和室友经历了很奇妙且蛮曲折的四天三夜旅程，那就是印尼的爪哇岛。还没起程前，看了很多部落，也到了最著名的背包客栈做功课，可惜我们要去的景点和时间上起了冲突。所以我自己做了功课，来一个挑战体力极限、没人试过的旅程表。虽然只是四天三夜，但我们却到了五个完全不同方向的景点，而我们放弃的景点只有梭罗Solo。

日惹 Yogyakarta - 婆羅浮屠 Borobudur - 婆罗摩火 Mount Bromo - 玛琅 Malang - 泗水 Surabaya

于吉隆坡中环广场乘搭机场巴士。

我们是乘搭马航由吉隆坡飞往日惹。

蛮丰富的飞机餐。

抵达日惹后，便乘搭当地最有系统及效率的TransJogya 1A或1B巴士。从机场到Terminal Prambanan只需大概20分钟，而且无论路途多遥远，TransJogya的收费一律3,000印尼盾。

抵达Terminal Prambanan，还需步行大概10分钟才到世界最美的印度庙Candi Prambanan。

Candi Prambanan有特设的外国游客中心，备有茶水，让你休息及吹吹冷气，而且还可上网。这就是为何他们向游客征收13美金的入门票啦！

因为时间上的关系，所以我们并来不及参观Candi Sewu及Candi Plaosan等。

之后我们匆忙地乘搭TransJogya巴士到Stasiun Tugu火车站购买隔天的火车票到泗水。该火车站蛮有吉隆坡旧火车站的味道，只不过没吉隆坡的那么古色古香。在告知入口处的保安人员后，他指示我们到预购处购买。预购处的人潮蛮多，领了号码，看一看，还有 20多位。当时还以为我们肯定会等傻了，但出乎意料，不需20分钟就轮到我了，可见印尼人的工作效率比大马人可好多了。

原本要买下午2点的车票，不幸的是车票竟然卖完了，这次头可大了！售票员曾建议我们到巴士站那儿询问巴士车票，但为免夜长梦多、节外生枝，我们还是决定回到预购处购买明日下午四时的火车票。购买前，也致电到玛琅的Helios Hotel确定如果我们迟到，他们是否愿意等我们。而该时段的火车票售价130,000印尼盾，较2点的来得便宜。

以为解决了火车票问题，就可安心到婆羅浮屠，原来并不是。为了省转车的麻烦及6,000印尼盾，以为隔街另一巴士站就在不远，我们选择步行。结果一走就走了10-15分钟左右才抵达，那时还是撑着雨伞在雨中漫步！

如要到婆羅浮屠，就必须在五点前到Terminal Jombor乘搭前往婆羅浮屠的巴士。我们抵达该巴士站时已经超过五点，结果很无奈，唯有选择乘搭的士。如果没花太多事件在火车前，我们应该不会错过五点最后一班巴士。

该的士不是普通的轿车，而是Suzuki APV。

前往婆羅浮屠的车程需两个小时，收费是有贵，100,000印尼盾，不过没办法啦！原本很期待到婆羅浮屠，可是我俩已累得很，不知不觉在车上睡着了。

挣开眼睛的那一刻，你自然会懂应该快抵达的另一世界自然遗产景点。我们选择了婆羅浮屠的官方度假村Manohara Hotel，该酒店的后方就是闻名世界的婆羅浮屠。

在柜台登记后，服务员送上茶水、点心及湿布，好让我们小休一会儿，然后才回到房间。我们也不忘乘机上网到面子书“报告”行踪。

冲洗后，我们唯有到酒店的餐厅享用晚餐。说实在的，该处傍晚时分，没什么好走，也没什么好吃。晚餐我们只花了78,000印尼盾，价格确实比我想像中便宜。

我点了Nasi Goreng Magelangan，是面条加炒饭的组合。

Clover则点了Bakmi Goreng，炒面吧，不过味道是不错的。

我们也点了Sate Ayam，果然与大马的稍有不同，不过大同小异，酱汁是黑色带甜。

吃过晚餐后也是我们该休息的时候，我们必须在凌晨4时起床，然后到柜台处集合。因为我们参加了酒店的“婆羅浮屠日出配套”。酒店和双人日出配套合计82.25美金。

站在钢琴上弹吉他的Penny

等了多年，终于等到了。大马最骄傲的创作才女戴佩妮的首次大马个唱于十六日，在云顶的云星剧场圆满落幕。

虽然坐的位子离舞台蛮远，可是依然看得出率性的Penny，如何走过这十年的岁月。如果说从歌手再“兼职”当演员或节目主持人才算是全方位歌手，而路也可走得比较远、比较久，那Penny皆不是女超人？

从舞蹈员到歌手，再由歌手到摄影师、导演等，加上凭当晚Penny以吉他当古筝及鼓的精彩演出，全方位歌手，呼之欲出！

在现时的现实娱乐圈，很多歌手都是包装过的鳗鱼，虽让人看得更美味，但品质好坏大家心中有数。一个不顾一切，坚持自己的创作，一手包办及制作全部专辑，勇于尝试，勇敢往前飞的，应该只有Penny。

我对2010年，或应说往后的新一年，不再抱有太大的希望。我只想一切都平凡、一切顺其自然，船到桥头自然直。目前我最注重的是如何宠爱自己及如何向前走。

向前走
事业于2009年期间遇到瓶颈，爬得太高，结果也跌得顺，像足溜溜板。辛辛苦苦、一步一步、步步为营、爬上最高点，可是自己不小心，又或是在背后被人推了一把。幸运的总是吉人天相，厄运缠身的总是遍体鳞伤。

回想当年，每一次爬得比较高，总是会有不顺地事情发生，一次又一次，真得很累。我可不可以祈求让我事业就这样顺着走？我是为生活而打拼，而不是口角。

2010是不是我要期待的年份？我不懂，也不想再想那么多，毕竟我等了那么多年，天，始终要我等。一切就只能依我目前情况再做出调整，我依然相信自己的能力，可能真的只是时机未成熟。

Maybe I should not hope too much for every New Year, I mean from 2010 onwards. I am just hoping that everything is normal, calm and smooth as silk. The 2 main concerns that I have now would be how to pamper myself and moving forward.

Moving Forward
It was the peak for me in 2009. Probably I have done too much, reaching the top of hierarchy. But when you fall, it’s like when you are playing slides in the playground, the efforts and energy that you have put into, and climb to reach the top. If you are reckless, you may fall, at times, you were being pushed. You will be fine if you are lucky; in contrast, if your luck is bad, you may injure.

In past, every time I am reaching the peak, something will be happening to me, again and again, am really sick of it. I do not ask for more, only peaceful and silky smooth in my careers. I am fighting for life, not for arguments.

I doubt if 2010 is the year that I have been waiting for. I really don’t know, I’ve been waiting for years (or should I use “ages”?) Needless to say if I am hoping for anything, as god wills, he wants me to stay where I was. The only thing that I can do is self adjusting to adapt to the current changes, I live my life, and probably I really need to wait for the opportunity.

December 23, 2009 should be a memorable day, why? Let me tell you what I’ve been through.

Christmas and New Year are around the corner and definitely I am in shopping mood. Craving to get a Christmas or New Year present for myself as a reward of the year, trying to be fair to myself. Lame, right?

I was lucky to have my housemate Clover as companion to The Pavilion. As we were starving, we went to Pizza Hut to have our lunch, and the stories begin here.

Pizza Hut, The Pavilion

We knew that the service of Pizza Hut is damn lame but we can’t help not to have pizza today, as we both are in pizza mood, of course price would be one of our considerations too. Compare to the last visit, the services did not improve, in fact, worsen. There was a “call” button on every table, all you need to do is to press the button to alert them that you need assistances instead of waving your hand or shouting them for attention. However, it is long-awaited since the first pressed, certainly we will be repeating the action until they serve us. But to my surprise, the Indian lady, also the Assistant Manager, wearing light blue shirt sitting at the cashier counter were shouting at one of the male staff, “Pergi tengok siapa yang tekan tekan”. The cashier counter was at least 100 meter away from our table, we could hear her shouting.

I was then pissed and to my surprise, I think Pizza Hut is kinda service-oriented, because I found a sticker next to the “call” button, stating the name, contact number and email address of the Area Manager. Will you still think twice if you have a chance to direct lodge a report to their superior? After I have told the Area Manager on what had happened, he sincerely apologise and promised to get the Assistant Manager to see me personally and apology.

Here she comes but her explanation is extremely unacceptable. She first asked me “What is your problem?” is this the way you approach an anger customer? She explaining that the services there all the while have been the same, with complaints and it was because her subordinates do not want to listen to her. She is saying that she just tenders her resignation as well. As what I know, she is still working there. If you wanna experience it, you may go there and give a try. I’m not sure if she is improved.

Hong Leong Bank Customer Service Department

Hong Leong Bank, already voted as the worst and lousiest bank in Malaysia. Again, I am complaining them! My day did not 100% ruin by Pizza Hut, but was ruined by an agent named Hafiz from customer care department.

I went to Genting One Hub to purchase Penny Tai Live in Malaysia 2010 concert tickets, total amount is RM980. Definitely I am using my cards to make payment. I was shocked that when I was told my Hong Leong card was declined. As I know my own available credit limit, it is impossible that the charge is declined. I then called their customer services hotline which is 03-7726 8899. Here is the story…

I called several times and the line was engaged. When the line finally connected, I keyed-in the information such as credit card no. and hoping that the info could pop up on their screen, so that I need not to repeat, it will be easier for them as well as to reduce queue calls. But everytime I finished keyed-in my info and press the hash (#) key to confirm, the call was dropped! I tried for more than 6 times and I experienced the same.

When I was inside The Pavilion, I called again and finally there is an agent pick up my line. I thought I was calling the wrong no. as the person on the other line was so quiet and saying “hello… hel… lo”, not even a simple greeting was properly done! I even asked is that Hong Leong Bank, and he replied “Yes, who…?”

I started very pissed when I heard this, I wanted to end the call as soonest possible as I know this fellow will make me very pissed. Straight, I am giving him my card details and waiting for him to conduct verification.

Hafiz : What is your mother’s name?
Mervin : *** Not to reveal ***
Hafiz : What is your phone no.?
Mervin : *** Not to reveal ***
Hafiz : Where is your account?
Mervin : What do you mean where my account is? Are you asking me where did I open my account?
Hafiz : YES!
Mervin : For god sake, what do you mean where did I open my account? I am giving you my credit card no., and how shall I tell you where I open my account?
Hafiz : Errrrr… errrr….. What is your phone no.?
Mervin : You just request for my phone no, and now you asked me again?

In our dialogue, it is clearly shows that this fellow is a newbie on floor, probably first day handling calls but to my surprise, what the hell are Hong Leong Bank have in their mind to place someone who is not ready, not being well-trained and don’t even speak simple English to handle English-language call?

After I have got what I need, I request to speak to his superior as I am not very happy with the calls. It is not purely to condemn him for not able to handle the call well but the decision of the management to place someone who is not ready to handle the call, in a banking industry it is strongly disencourage as the call is not compliance due to no proper verification, anyone who knows my basic info can just calls in and get the details that they want, or worse, giving instruction on my account.

Unfortunately, I did not speak to his superior but scolded him over the phone for giving me excuses and same answer. He keeps asking me “you want to speak to my manager?” for at least 3 times, and I replied 3 times “Yes” until I lose my mind. Then he told me he is still new but to me, in banking industry, this is not an answer as I used to work in more stressful and restricted call center in banking industry. He told me that his manager is not around and he will get his manager to call me, he then REQUEST FOR MY CONTACT NUMBER! I just gave him twice during the stupid verification but now he is asking for it again! I was even angrier, in the end I request him to get his manager to call me within 2 hours from the second I ended the call.

If I am the call-rating officer, the call is failed due to:-

1. No greetings

2. No simple verification (ask for customer’s name)

3. Asking irrelevant question

4. Repeating same question

5. Hesitation (tone of voice) and not confident

6. Did not understand what customer’s wants

7. Causing customer unhappy

8. No closing

I am cancelling my Hong Leong card right after Chinese New Year! I hate Hong Leong Bank so much, they just NEVER grown!

G2000 Women & G2000 City at Metrojaya in Mid Valley Megamall

I used to work in G2000 as Assistant Shop Manager. I am not saying that I am trying to picking their wrong but at least certain thing should have remained.

Clover wanted to buy 2 pants there but size is not available. We requested the Trainee to check if there is any in store room, but he just checked the pants putting on the table then said “Store should be no more size”. Then we request him to check if other outlets have it as I know there are 2 consignment counters in Metrojaya, they can even call other outlets to “check code”. He was kinda refuse to check for us, telling us that the cashier is busy doing payment, we insisted, he request us to hold on. After 5 minutes, I did not see the cashier checking for us, I was frustrated and get Clover to check on the status, he was asking us to check with the staff at the cashier counter ourselves! He then found a new one from store room but another one is only available in Metrojaya. Due to such experience, we rather get both pants from Metrojaya although I know the sales are combined as one. In Metrojaya, there are 3 consignment counters; one is G2000 City, G2000 Women and G2000 Men. Black pants we saw we got it from G2000 Women, Grey pants was found in G2000 City BUT the price is different, it has only 20% discount, outlet was stating 50%. We asked the sales there and he told us consignment and outlet prices are different. If I never worked in G2000, I may trust you but please I ain’t stupid!

Logically if prices are different, it will only happen in such situation:-
1. Different company (franchising)
2. G2000 would not have sent you to take care of the counter in Metrojaya, they may get their own staff instead.
3. G2000 won’t set up phone line and PC with stock control system there.
4. Metrojaya or Mid Valley is having sales or special promotion, outlets may have no sales.

We went back to the outlet to verify, there are 2 more mature female staffs, one is looking over the PC, and another was eating. The one was eating asking us in a rude manner whether we did see the code, maybe both are different codes. I was so pissed and show her the photo of the code and prices we have taken. If I still remember, on-sales stocks of G2000 are “98” series, “96” series color is totally different, with extra free belt on the pant, it is very even easier to distinguish even without looking at the code.

After checked, it was their mistake and we went back to the counter. The sales guy straight away told us that the pants is 50% off now when we request him to check the price on their system,

Sales guy : Oh, they just called and checked.
Merv : Why are you saying the price of consignment and outlet is different just now?
Sales guy : Because they did not change the display.
Merv : Display manual is always given before sales. You thought your Visual Merchandiser Lucia is dead?

That’s how we end out day. We eventually get what we wants, but in a harsh way.

是不是很多时候都会觉得妈妈很啰嗦，常常喋喋不休，让做孩子的觉得很不耐烦。但做孩子的可否有仔细想过妈妈的感受？

以前的我，确实不爱做家务，也不大爱烹饪，所以妈妈通常都会发牢骚，因为孩子永远只会做自己的东西，而忽略了辛苦的一整天的妈妈。其实我想说的东西很简单，可能自己亲身体验了，现在觉得以前的自己总是想到自己，而忘了妈妈的感受。

话说很普通的某天，并非什么大日子。但妈妈心血来潮，心想孩子做工了一整天，必定累坏了。恰好雪柜里有额外的食物供烹调，所以妈妈特别煮多了几道菜肴，当然分量也比平常多。就这样，妈妈用了几个小时，一人在厨房里“孤军作战”。焖的、炒的、炸的，样样都不少，只为了今晚较丰盛的晚餐。

当一切都弄好了，连厨房也打扫干净了，累了的妈妈也可能开始饿了，可是孩子都还没回来，心想今天可能塞车吧，所以索性再等多一会儿。但时间一分一秒地滴答流失，依然看不见孩子踪影。辛辛苦苦等到孩子回来了，孩子却凉也不冲，忙着上网聊天及玩“面子书”。原本开开心心的烹饪，充满期待地等着孩子回家，可以一起同桌共餐，到最后，也只有妈妈一人独自吃着自己辛辛苦苦为家人特别准备的饭菜。

试问如果你是妈妈的，你有什么感受？你会吃得开心吗？吃着自己烹调的食物，再多好吃也只有身边人懂，因为早在烹调时，已加入多好吃的努力及感觉，妈妈已懂这菜肴到底有多好吃。

做孩子的通常都会有的回应，“你可以自己先吃啊！”如果我可以、我愿意一个人吃，我有必要煮那么多吗？有必要等你回来吗？每个人都有自私的一面，往往不会再三顾虑他人感受而“出言不顺”。

如果迟回家吃饭，请通知。

如果迟回家也不吃饭，请通知。

如果不回家吃饭，更应该通知。

如果回家吃饭，就一起吃。

就算味道没想象中好，也不可说难吃。就有如一道较淡的蔬菜，“很难吃”和“不够咸”是两回事，前者带来的伤害很难预知，后者带来地不是伤害，而是告知。

镜中看似幸福的我，真实生活上又有谁知？

Happiness can be seen in the mirror, but did it reflects the real life I am going through?

十二月了，我最喜欢。想起两年前的十二月，还真的蛮怀念的。当时的我就任职于合您广场某店的店面经理，虽然面对着有点无理取闹的吉隆坡上司及蛮野蛮的新加坡上司，但我还是蛮高兴，和其他同事及下属“斗”得很愉快。

去年的十二月，虽然是单身，但我好在有一般很要好的朋友。就算我是单身，亦从不觉得寂寞。

今年的十二月，让我彻底地失望及无助。问题继九月的地雷式被引爆后，现在来了个自杀式袭击。我真的不懂为何这世界竟会如此无药可救。人家说肖鼠的今年运气可是前三名，那看回我，我应该是例外地。

家
原本说好我要小房，虽然小到很可怜，但我并不介意。可是经过风水师的讲解后，老实说，我的确很不爽！风水无论是什么种族、什么宗教的人都相信风水可影响人的运势，但你要我如何接受我爸妈的房间让给我大姐，我大姐的房让给我，而我的房间让给爸妈。这简直就是荒唐，和送我爸妈进养老院有什么差别？！我并不是介意大房让给我姐，而是根据逻辑，我爸妈住我姐房还差不多。

除此之外，还说我并不适合住这新家，因为我的生辰八字是必须住在坐东向西的屋子，否则我的事业就会大起大落。如果我不适合住，倒不如不必入住，还要我换房干嘛？要是风水师是真的厉害，麻烦请教避凶挡煞的方法，而不是普普通通三言两语的换房。

要是那么差，我宁愿不让风水师施法。我情愿卖掉也不愿意睡较大间的房。因为我真的不介意，我由始至终都爱我的小房。天天喊它小并不代表我不喜欢它。

除此之外，家人一再吵架。当然吵的不是我们家人，而是我阿姨和婆婆。为了什么事？又是钱！但你们要吵归你们吵，为何无端端却要把我扯进呢？说我向阿姨借了一千元，这简直就是荒唐！

友
金钱及权力，试问谁不想要。不懂是否自己看多了，还是年纪大了，总觉得金钱和权力只不过是身边物。金钱是找不完地，因为你不是生产钞票的国家银行。权力得到了，麻烦请善用，别一上任就“新官上任三把火”，毕竟你有的是新官的三把火，较同级旧官的N把火，你不算什么！

爱
爱情是一门永远都学不会东西。它不是随便学学听听就那么简单，因为它是必须用心去感应、体会、聆听。每个人的想法都不一样，每个人有着不同的感觉，所以当人家问你什么是爱情，那你的答案又会是什么呢？

已经近两个月了，我们依然争吵，而且还是为了琐碎的芝麻绿豆，然后再旧事重提而闹翻天。但是只要还有信任，只要还有坦诚，只要还有爱，多么崎岖不平的道路也会变成丝绸之路。

如风水师所批，事业大起大落，我不否认。但我觉得这是我的问题，也就是说我本身所面对的问题。我的事业大起是因为我的智慧、勇敢与自信；我的事业大落是因为我遇人不淑，树大招风而惹至满身蚁。

最近也发现到了很多事情，可能我太愚蠢到相信他人，差一点惹上官非。我知道我等的只是机会，一个可让我翻身的机会，但我这次也不会手下留情，因为以其人之道还治其人之身。如你对我好，没滥用我对你的信任，我是没那么绝情地。

I like December most. Flashback to December 2008, I’m kinda missing it. It was the day where I worked for a retail shop in Gurney Plaza, as a Store Manager a.k.a. Shop Manager. Though I have difficulties in dealing with my unreasonable Kuala Lumpur Superior and illogical Singapore’s superiors, I must tell that I am enjoy every bittersweet moment that I had with my colleagues and subordinates.

Last December, I was single, yet I do have a bunch of best friends that will never make me feel like I am being alone.

This December, I am deeply disappointed and helpless. After the explosion of mine in September, there comes a suicidal attack. I don’t understand why the world is so mean. It is said that Rat is one of the luckiest in top 3, but look at me, maybe I am the typical one.

Families
I’ve spoken to everyone that I will get the smallest room, I never mind that. Things changed when Fengshui master came and started the Fengshui theory. In any aspects, Fengshui is trusted by any races and any religion, they believes that Fengshui has the power to change ones’ fate. But to me, it is unacceptable that my parents’ room is giving to my elder sister, my elder sister’s room is giving to me, and my room, giving to my parents. This is such a ridiculous, what is the difference of sending my parents to old folks home? I am not envy my sister is getting bigger room, but logically, my parents should at absolutely least getting my sister’s room.

On top of that, the master even was saying that my birthday shows that I am not suitable to live in this house. I have to stay in a house where it is positioned in East and facing West, else my career would be up and down tremendously. If I am not suitable to live in this house, rather asking me to stay away, why bother changing room? If you are an experienced master, you should suggest ways to avoid and prevent, not just changing room.

If I knew all these, I would not have let the master done anything. I rather sell off the house than sleeping in a bigger room. I really do not mind sleeping in such a tiny room. I am complaining that it is small but it doesn’t mean I don’t like my room.

Other than that, there are arguments again between families. But fortunately it wasn’t my family but argument between my aunt and my grandma, regarding… money! The argument is between you both and there is nothing to do with me, why wanna get me involved? Furthermore saying that I am borrowing RM1000 from my aunt, what a big joke!

Friendships
Money and rights is something that everyone craves for. Maybe I’ve seen it, or maybe I am grown up, both are not a need. How much money can you earn? You are not central bank that printing cash notes. When you get the rights, please use it wise as you are still new to your current level in the organization chart, but there might be more people that sharing the same rights, so what are you?

Loves
Love is something that you will never able to learnt. It ain’t about learning or studying, it must be well connected with heart, through your feelings, experiences and listening. Everyone has different perception, everyone has different feelings. When someone questioning you what is love, what would be your answer?
It’s been almost 2 months we were arguing, it is because of tiny shit matters that does not important at all, and it turns out to be big deal when there is a party ditching the past. As long as the trustworthy is there, as long as honesty is there, as long as the love is still there, no matter how tough the journey is, it will soon become smooth as silk.

Works
According to Fengshui master, my careers is always up and down tremendously, I admit. However, my perception on these is purely on myself, my own problems that I am facing. I strongly believed that my careers fly is because of my intelligent, daring and confident; my careers drop is because I am dealing with certain morons that get jealous over me.

Recently I discovered many issues that came to me. Maybe I was too naïve to have trustworthy in them, caused me about to face trial. I know I am waiting for an opportunity, an opportunity that will bring me back to the stage. But I won't being soft, you deserved the way that you have treated me. If you are being bona fide and did not misuse my trustworthy to you, I will not be mean.

Wonderful November : My 25th Birthday Celebration

It's been awhile I did not post anything up on my blog. As usual, I have more than 10 blogs saved in Blogger's draft. Mostly are incomplete due to certain reasons, minority are completed but don't feel like posting.

But one thing I wanna share with you most is my 25th Birthday celebration. This is the second time in my life that I am celebrating my birthday in Kuala Lumpur.

The moment still fresh in my mind, in 2008, I was celebrating my birthday with a bunch of best buddies in Faces Steakhouse in Penang. Then the next day, travelling to Cameron Highlands with my parents, my youngest sister and her son.

This year, it is also special and interesting to me as it will be my very first time, also their first, to celebrate my 25th Birthday. A sincere thanks to their courtesy and efforts in making my 2009's birthday complete and wonderful. Thanks to my lovely Zachrey and Clover.

Nevertheless, on the following day after the celebration in TGI's Fridays, we are heading to UNESCO World's Heritage Site - MELAKA (MALACCA)

Wow~ I love shopping but I also in love with low fare of air tickets promotion, or even better deals “FREE SEATS”!! Thanks to the tough situation and strong competition between airlines operator, namely Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Tiger Airways Australia and etc. It really benefits us as a passenger, to be able to fly, expand our routes, exploring the world, at lowest fare.

So far I’ve been to several cities in Asia. Now I am aiming to explore more destinations especially the countries in West. However, air tickets and accommodation is always the main concerns, as we always perceive that travelling will require a sum of cash. To me, I only believe that to be able to fulfill your dream, you have to:-

Dare to challenge
Plan your task
Work for your achievement

I wanted to go Shanghai is because of World Exposition 2010 that will be held from May 01 to October 31. It has more than 130 countries to participate and exhibit there, other than that; other corporates would also take part in this event. This event will be held once every 4-5 years, if you missed it, you gonna wait for few years later.

I’ve been to the World Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan. It can compete with the DisneyLand and DisneySea in Tokyo, Japan. By attending to this event, there is no difference if you are telling others that you have travelled around the world in just ONE day (if you are able but I don’t think it is possible) or maybe two. This event is certainly a place for you to experience and learn, be it the architectures, technologies, cultures or souvenirs. You want it, they have it!

Life's Like This... It's Over

It’s been awhile since the last posting. Recently I was really tired, not physically but mentally. Turn back to the month of September, I find that not only I was going through the troubles, it happened to other friends as well, thanks to their status updates on Facebook.

First, it was misunderstanding and argument with housemates, and certainly it hurts and leads to no turning back. There are certain words that are not supposed to tell anyone nor voice out on certain media spacing, but we’ve seen all that, heard it as well. In fact, the truth is as simple as A, B, C or 1, 2, 3, it’s about communication and mutual understanding, and obviously, miscommunication is always the prior.

It’s hard to heal the wounds, yet it is not impossible. Hearts and efforts can be seen if you willing to initiate the first contact.

Second, there was a serious argument between my mum and my aunt. It happened in… Genting Highlands

We all knew that my aunt is a very hot temper that will throw tantrum without filtering her words via those cells in her brain. We also knew that my mum had been calm and patient for several years, not to withhold nor tolerate aunt’s “royalty attitudes” but being health-conscious.

My aunt is letting out those sarcastic words to my mum, even asking my mum not to seat in her car to go back Penang. My mum called me around 11:30pm, I was really shocked and helpless though I wanted to help, but it seems like there are not much things that I can do. Calling my aunt would only lead to another argument.

I’ve no choice but to SMS my uncles and elder aunt, sort of like seeking their assistances to talk to my “tempered” aunt as I know I am still not the best person to educate her. When my uncle and elder aunt called, I was crying out loud and sadly. I cried is because throughout the conversation, it reminds me the quote from my mum, “no matter how, you need not to do so, because when you were young even now, she is still caring and loving you”.

Third, it was argument between me and my bb. It’s a long story and involves a lot of matters. I don’t know where to begin; I only know there are few words to best describe our situation, miscommunication, untrustworthy, misunderstanding… and maybe unreliability?

Regardless of the issues, we have been together for 6 months. Even after serious arguments, we both know how much we meant for each other and cherish every bitter or sweet moments together.

Fourth, my health… I was sick lately, don’t really know why and what is wrong. At first, I suspected dengue but I’m not quite sure, luckily get well in just few days, thanks to the Paracetemol from my housemate. But just few weeks later, I fell sick again, sigh….

Another issue will be my weight. Keep up and down like share market, right before I sleep or after I woke up, it can be happen in hours. I know I am suffering dropsy but never thought that it will be so serious. Do you have dropsy concerns? Tell me what I should do in order to stay healthy!!

Fifth, my career… obviously, is dropping “tremendously”. Sales is another issue but trustworthy is the prior concerns in an organization. I’ve lost confident to current partners due to their negligence, delays, excuses, stories and etc.

If you see my resume, it is always up and up and up, hardly you can see my Career Life Cycle drop. I know I almost reach the ceiling, I am trying hard to maintain it, but sad to tell, I’ve failed. Maybe it is of “what goes around comes around” theory.

I do not mind if I have to step down, I understand that it is for the sake of my future. Besides, even if I am out of the box now, I believe there are much more to discover and learned. I’ve temporary give up the current aims, moving towards a bigger family now. Am looking forward into aviation or hospitality industry, is that big enough?? Wish me luck!

Most of the fortune tellers in the world saying that “Rat” would have a great careers and good lucks in this year, I guess I am the minority that doesn’t great enough to deserve it.

After signed and look at the consignment note, it was a parcel from Laneige Malaysia. Without hesitation, I quickly open the parcel. It is surprising to see the package they have sent to me, as there are 2 products that are not available in Malaysia market, but I am so lucky to receive these.

There is also an apology card from the girl who handled my inquiries and a note from Brand Manager Celine Diong. In the note, she said that this package is a token of regret for being rude to me on the other day and thanking me for being understandings and forgiveness. In the package, inclusive of:-

Okay, it's my bombastic time! People keep saying "Never piss off women", besides women, never piss off me as well! This is the first time I am being treated so rude and am seriously disturbed. I never had faced such bad service before.

Don't blame me for being demanding, don't say that I am mean, I am just helping them to improve and develop their business better. The fellow who was rude to me, if you get fired, make sure you go home and facing the surrounded walls and think properly what you have done!

On Oct 07, 2009, at 07:38pm, I was calling Laneige Malaysia Customer Service No. to inquire about the product status. The call last for 5 minutes 34 seconds.

I called to your office after office hour, I was impressed that someone picked up the phone but she really had ruined my day. The products that I am inquiring are Laneige Homme Fresh Cleansing Foam cost MYR60 and Laneige Homme Sebum Free Scrub Foam cost MYR65.

The reason that I am calling to your office is due to :-

1. I am regular of Laneige Homme. Thus, I am getting abovementioned products for my friend as his birthday present which is on 12 Oct 2009.

2. I went to Isetan in Lot 10, but unfortunately no staff was on duty.

3. I then went to Parkson in The pavilion. I was told by the staff named Eva that stocks are not available at the moment due to the recent warehouse sales and mess in inventory, the shipping of new stocks were delayed. Replenishment most probably only can be done on 14 Oct 2009.

4. Eva was helpful, a compliment to her. She was assisting to call other counters located in Golden Triangle to check the stock availability, but unfortunately all were out of stocks.

5. As I am not able to travel to other places which is farer than Golden Triangle, I was asking Eva if the stock is available in other counters, is it alright to transfer the stock to her counter, so that I can pick up, but she said it is not possible.

Hence, I am calling to your office to inquire, hoping that they could assist me in this matter. I am sorry that I did not get her name as I do not have the chance. I only have the length of time that I made the call.

I was telling her my problems. I even apologize to her as I know I am calling after office hour, I did even leave my name and contact no. to her, telling her that it is alright if she don't get back to me now, as I know I am not supposed to call now, she could call me on the following day.

When I am telling her point 4 as above, her voice sounds frustrating. When I am telling point 5, that is transferring the stock, she was cutting my speech by yelling "Hello" loudly to me. And I thought that the line is breaking and asked if she could hear me, she replied loudly by saying "Yes, I could hear you". When I had finish my speech and she promised to get back to me, she was slamming the phone. I believe that we all know how do the hang up call sounds like when one was getting mad.

First,
I am already very upset as I could not get the products that I want.

Second,
I already apologize for calling in after office hour, but still I am getting such customer services.

Third,
we are all consumer and we do know that customer are calling in to get a solution. If you could help, just say yes, if it's not possible, explain why. But why is she yelling and slamming the phone? I had never seen such a rude person.

Fourth,
I do not mind if she is cursing me but please only do it after the call was hung up properly. It is not professional to handle customer inquiries by showing your anger.

Laneige is one of the premium brands. I am hoping that such case will not repeat. But frankly, I am seriously disturbed by such unreasonable yet rude treatment and am hoping that you could take appropriate action against the unprofessional personnel who handled my call.

As per normal, I was sharing my experience with my friends and bloggers after using Laneige products. Nevertheless, I will be sharing this experience with them as well.

After making the complaint, the next day, I went to Pavilion to get other product from Laneige. You may say that I should not purchase anything from Laneige but one thing I wanted to clarify, that is I am mad because of the rude staff, not the product, although she is representing the company.

On October 09, 2009, I received a feedback from Brand Manager of Laneige Malaysia named Celine Diong (Not Celine Dion). Her sincere apologies had shown that Customer Services indeed is important to them, it is an intangible revenue to any organisation.

A compliment to Celine for her sincere apology and prompt reply. Hoping that you would really taking appropriate action against your rude staff. Thank you.

There are few LOGICAL questions that really screwed my mind:-

Pack B cheese powder seems like becoming more. Is it because of the comparison reflects the differences of both bags or you really thinks that thief is moving Pack A’s cheese powder into Pack B?
Family of Pack A having a special guest staying over for “N” days. Could it because of the special guest, causing the usage of their cheese powder increased tremendously?
Why would the thief steal so much of cheese powder in one shot. On top of that, not keeping it somewhere else or utilizing it but putting it into his/her own pack (Pack B). It would be easier to discover since both bags are putting together in the SAME place, SAME cabinet.

If you are stealing it, will you keep it in your own bag where both bags are putting in the same place, same position? Since when there is a thief so stupid until will leave evidence there just to let the whole world know?

Is it hard to believe if I’m telling that I never been to Singapore?

There are many friends of mine were saying “Are you serious? You’ve been to many countries but you never been to Singapore?” Hmmm, I’m telling the truth, surprising? Yeah, that’s the reaction I received from my friends. So far I’ve been to Nagoya, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Macau and Ho Chi Minh. Singapore? Coming soon!

In fact, visiting Singapore was a coincident. It was because my cousin living in JB is getting married. I, my sis and my mum just take this opportunity as granted, spending 2 days in JB for my cousin's wedding and 3 days vacation in Singapore. But I swear, if possible, I would love to overnight in Singapore rather than on and off from JB. Traveling to Singapore via Causeway Link Express at Taman Bukit Indah is extremely troublesome and adventurous.

Everything seems great for the day. We took the bus called Causeway Link located at Bukit Indah, traveling to Jurong East Interchange in Singapore. The journey takes about 1 hour 20 minutes, but we have to go through a lot of hassles.

First, boarding the bus, it's always the best to sit next to the door, at least there are little bit more spaces for you to breathe and better chances to "disembark for custom check". Driver may pick up anyone who trying to stop and boarding the bus. The bus may look “empty” at Taman Bukit Indah but you wouldn't know how many extra passengers along the journey, until you reach another bus terminal called Gelang Patah Terminal. The bus may become a Sardine bus by then!

Second, check-in at Sultan Abu Bakar Custom and Singapore Custom is like the “end of the world”. Everyone is in rush when the door is open to alight. You can see them running to the immigration counter, after checked-in; they ran to the next point to board the bus. Singapore custom would be the worst as you really got to be fast, otherwise, the driver is not going to wait for you. Furthermore, the driver doesn’t recognize you at all! Same goes to check-out at Singapore Custom and Sultan Abu Bakar Custom.

When I first step on the land of Singapore and Jurong East, I don't know why I feel relief. The very first word that I had in my mind was “Finally”. Perhaps I have wanted to visit Singapore so much but I just do not have the chance and time. Walking to the MRT station, something caught our attention; Coca Cola is giving away Coke Zero for FREE!!! I think that's the best welcome gift I received, LoLx… VIP/Minister getting wreath, I'm getting COKE! (not cock, please!)

I bet I will be a SHOPAHOLIC even there is no warehouse sales. My mum and my sis are the best example. So far I only bought 2 bottoms, one is Signature by Levi Strauss & Co ™ Jeans cost SGD 49.90 from my ex-employer Jay Gee House in Jurong Point and checkers Bermuda cost SGD 8.00 from Bugis Street, thanks to my elder sis for getting me both pants.

Times flies. I remembered when my younger sister Eunice and her son Lawrence applying for “Temporary Resident” Visa of Australia, I was assisting and accompanying her throughout the processes. One month after submission of application and medical check-up report, their Visa has been approved. My feelings is mixture, with joyful and a little bit of sadness.

Joyful is because they will be living in Melbourne, I bet this is another challenge for her in her life. Previously she was weak in most of the things, not even dare to drive when she is still in Penang. The moment when she decided to be reciting to KL to continue her career, I knew this will be a challenge.

She has been through all the hardship in KL, from struggling in life due to unexpected incidents to being able to settle down. That’s when I decided to start my career in KL, at the same time, she gets my companion. I’ve seen her grown up and being mature, from single to married, from a girl to a mum, from being careless to being concerns of everything, from being mood swing to considered person, and from never dare to drive to expert in driving… This is her achievement, her journey of life that I have witnessed with my own eyes.

Sadness is because she and her son are leaving. To be frank, I do not like my brother-in-law, his personality and attitudes is way too weird, even his family. The way he treated people is also different. Ever since the incident happened between I and him, I did not call him for years, I do not regret and I do not mind for being called as “no manners” fellow. He just doesn’t deserve to get my respect and honour, but I know the fact is he is husband of my sister and father of my nephew, that is undeniable.

Other than that, migrating to Melbourne is a new challenge for her. Australia is well-known as arrogant yet racist country, main language would be English, weather are four seasons, foods and cultures are all different. I am not doubt of my sister’s ability in adapting the environment and her master of language, but it is still too new for her. If she is reciting to Taiwan or Hong Kong, I guess it will be better.

Writing this blog is one of the hardest things to me in my life.

I’m a person that easy to get touched with lots of expression that always trapped in myself, but never knew how to let it out. Infinity is the secret garden that I will express my feelings out loud. I rather let her seeing this than asking me to express to her.

Please do take care yourself and your son there. If you are not happy living over there, you are more than welcome to come back anytime, my room is always open.

Malaysia really boleh lor! Don’t you agree?

After lots of achievement of proving Malaysia is really boleh, today, again the latest Malaysia Boleh was achieved by MACC assistant enforcement officer Mohd Ashraf Mohd Yunus, he is being called as 19th witness of Teoh Beng Hock Inquest. He shall be awarded 1Malaysia Spirit Award!

My day was ruined by one call from representative of TM, who called to recover the due payment from me, which I had paid them 2 years ago at their old TM Point branch in Maluri, before shifting to Menara Maxisegar in Ampang.

In fact I’ve got another similar case happened to me, where I paid for my California Fitness Yearly Renewal Fees for 2 years in Oct 2007, but the staff told me that there is NO records found. When I called up, another staff claimed that she is handling my case, she even confirmed that the payment did not update into system is because lost of documentations. However, they have traced back the details and will do the adjustment shortly.

Okay, back to our Malaysia Boleh achievement. I read the news of Sin Chew Daily today after the distracting call. Though it is not the headlines but it is still obvious on the cover page of the papers, saying that…

“MACC Enforcement Officer, learning questioning skills from TV Programme”

Wahhhh, sounds very proud huh?! Mohd Ashraf Mohd Yunus previously was worked as a worker in a factory, probably an operator of production line. When he was appointed as an MACC enforcement office, he admitted that he has never been trained on questioning skills. He learned the skills neither from books or other senior or related professional officers such as customs nor PDRM, but MULTI AWARD WINNING TV DRAMA : CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) !

MACC, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commissions, a standalone yet independent commissions that fight against scandals and may assist to bring back the reputation of country, also to win the heart of investors is making such a huge huge mistake.

This is a professional body and I believe certain qualification is a must in hiring and selection of candidates, but now hiring “a worker in a factory” (according to local newspaper, if he was a professional in previous career, he should be damn proud to announce his profession) to be their enforcement officer, I would say, it’s a SHAME! If he can be an enforcement officer, I do not find any reason or excuses for anyone to be their officer too.

What is MACC doing??? It is such a BIG disappointment to the Public. I wanna know, Malaysian wanna know:-

1. Why appointing a worker of factory to be MACC enforcement officer?
2. Why no training was being provided?
3. If there is no training, is that meaning to say no trainer? If there is no trainer, in other words, there is no one who is qualified or being trained to be an MACC officer?
4. Is there a performance appraisal for MACC officers? If there is one, Royal Commissions should have known what they have done all this while.
5. Why MACC allows force, torture, violence, and psychological breakdown during questioning session?
6. Will officers misused their power?

To me, it is a must to have a Royal Malaysian Human Resources Commissions to have strictest screening and rules in hiring and selecting the right candidates to handle the right task.

Malaysia has gone through many hardship and shameful matters, also being a BIG joke to the planet (there are numerous of satellites surrounding the earth, if there are transformers and UFO, they must be laugh out loud)!

I got pissed in the next minute I woke up... The scenario goes like this....

I was having insomnia until 7am this morning. It’s been so hard for me to get myself to hit the sack with my 3 quarter closed eyes, and I was being awake when I heard my sister spoken my full name over her mobile.

I took the phone, trying to find out who would call my full name by calling to my sister mobile. It was a Malay girl, she did not introduce herself but straight to the point, telling me I am owing TM a sump of money 2 years ago.

I was so mad and frustrated! I was very straight to the point, firing her until she has no turning back. The conversation goes like this:-

Girl : Hello, Mr. GCW kah?

Girl : Saya telefon on behalf of TM…
(I’m calling on behalf of TM…)
Her speech was cutted by me as I already knew what she gonna bullshit next

Mereka sudah beritahu bill itu sudah selesai, tetapi jikalau saya check dengan TM Point
bill itu masih tertuggak.

I was working as Credit Analyst in DELL before, to analyse credit assessment, application, aging, and collections. Normally I will check everything before I proceed to call my customer to check on the status of the payment especially the system that which is not linked.

I am not a staff of TM, but I know TM 100 and TM Point are using different system.

Furthermore, it has been 2 years. By right, as a collection officer, if there is customer did not make due amount payment by 120 days, the aging is considered as uncovered and legal action may be taken, or may have categorized as loss. But they are only calling after 2-3 years! AMAZING!

I now categorized TM as private government blood sucker. Why? TM is a division of Malaysian Government, though it has been privatized, but it is a GLC (government-related company).

I am wondering that TM 100, a one solution call centre that handles enquiries and complaints of customer. Other than Streamyx product, they also handle TM fixed line, TM Business and even Celcom.

TM Point as the frontline one solution retail outlet that provides one stop services such as new application, complaints, enquiries and bill payments for all channels, servicing customers face-to-face, EVERYDAY, but their system is OUTDATED!

How a giant international company like TM Group could use 2 different systems? The worst is TM Point act as the first contact to interact with customers, but using the outdated system to serve the customers. HOW COULD THEY ASSIST CUSTOMERS? To me, TM Point is just creating another problem.

While TM 100 is back-end support, and I do not know how both centre interact and communicate when there is an obvious conflicts that to be happened.

The lesson told us that, whenever you have paid for your TM Bills, NO MATTER HOW LONG IT WILL BE, YOU NEED TO KEEP IT IN A SAFE PLACE, till you die!

还记得1997年Secret Recipe刚开张时
都会到不同的分行品尝各式各样的蛋糕
而最吸引我的目光的不是Cheese Cake
而是意大利最有Feel的Tiramisu

Tiramisu有一个称号叫Heaven in your mouth
还记得吃下Tiramisu的第一口
那感觉就是难以形容
当我正在陶醉其中时
朋友问我到底怎么了
我只回答“有一种恋爱的感觉。”

试想1997年的我只有13岁
何来“有一种恋爱的感觉”

而这几年来除了Secret Recipe外
我还吃过不少不同师傅的Tiramisu
每位的做法都不一样
感觉也变得越来越商业化
最后一次则是品尝于Pavilion的Italian On Sixth

今天我却领悟到了更不一样地Tiramisu

原因在于
他今天心情特别差
原本想开导安慰他
后来却闹得不愉快
是我还没真正改变
还是我太过用心了

我不懂如何开解他
只是突然想起蛋糕
脑海里浮现的就是Tiramisu

今天我并没品尝任何Tiramisu
但无论我走到哪
只因为可以看到Tiramisu
我可觉得很满足、很开心

我希望等他回来后
开雪柜是的那一刻

当时的CEO就发表了他的十句金言
其中一句就是

“你可能对煎汉堡有所歧视，
但你的祖父母对煎汉堡有不同的定义。”

每个人对煎汉堡地定义都不一样
麦当劳就是专卖汉堡来“骗”钱
Ramly就是供应给煎汉堡的大商家

而我所煎的汉堡
只是因为一个人

他：“B, 我想吃汉堡。”
我：“现在已经半夜两点多了，人家已经打烊了。”

就是接二连三的来回说了好几遍
所以索性自己下厨好了
更何况每次买街边汉堡都有偷师
加上对自己的厨艺还蛮有信心
对我来说不是难题

Bad Day in Sakae Sushi KLCC

Today supposed to be a great day for us but was totally turned down in KLCC.

It wasn't a luck day for me. I had requested my housemate - Sui Yong's assistance in planning a surprise show up to my bb and my best buddy cum housemate Zi Yuan in KLCC, in conjunction to celebrate Zi Yuan's birthday. The plan was surprising them in any places in KLCC, which I successful did that in Isetan by following behind them. Then we were planning to have lunch in California Pizza Kitchen, but too bad that the restaurant is closed for private function. We have tried to go for other restaurants but it seems full house every else where. And we finally decided to go Sakae Sushi.

As usual and same as other restaurant, we are queuing-up outside of the restaurant, without being recorded in the waiting list. After 20 minutes, we are still queuing-up, that's when we started to feel unsatisfied over some unexpected issue. There were 2 stupid fat guys wearing bright red and bright yellow, which makes them looks like a dumb mobility but incomplete traffic light, cutting queue!

They do not feel shame over their actions but the worst is I saw them walking towards a table which is full of plates and unclear. The girl behind us got mad and walk towards to the manager acting as a cashier at the counter to make complaints but it seems unattended. I got even mad to come across such situation especially after a long wait, I walked towards the counter, while waiting the manager to collect payment from customers, I looked at his name tag "Wei Seong". Once he had done his collection, I was questioning him...

"Hi Mr Wei Seong, may I know why are you allowing that two guys seating over there while everyone here is queuing-up for so long?"
"Because we do not aware, they just walked-in and took the seat without out knowledge."
"Then you allow them to seat there and do nothing?"
"Because we have insufficient of manpower."
"Then what is the point you put the sign there [Please wait to be seated]? It is useless! This is a lame excuse and I can't accept that."

I got mad is due to following reasons:-

I am celebrating my friend's birthday.
Sakae Sushi, a Japanese restaurant with Japanese-oriented foods and name, owned by demanding Singaporean, should have been service-oriented as well.
The restaurant is based in KLCC, a luxury and prime mall in Malaysia. Quality of services and foods are extremely disappointed.
Manager's explanation cannot be accepted.
Customers' complaint over two rude idiots that cutting queues was not being attended.
Manager doing nothing over the two rude idiots that cutting queues.
Manager did not take down our name and putting in waiting list, instead to let customers to queue outside the restaurant.
Restaurant have ample of vacant seats but we are still queuing outside the restaurant.
Many tables are not clearing up after the customers have left for some time.
Salmon is not fresh and shrink due to long exposed of open air.
Last 4 pages of menu, everything "N/A" (Not available).

After we finished our lunch there, the next thing that I'm going to do is writing complaint letter to several divisions. It would be the Headquater of Sakae, KLCC Management, public and leading forums and Public Complaint Bureau of Prime Minister Department.

This ain't the first time I am complaining Sakae Sushi and I'm wondering how their managers are being trained. So far I have complaints 3 Managers of Sakae, 1 in Queensbay, 1 in Gurney and 1 in KLCC.

被盗 Hacked

不知行什么衰运，病了两个星期，天天见红，到今天依然还没痊愈。那就算了，我竟然还衰到连MSN都被人盗线，搞到我MSN里近500位联系人都不见了。

原本想重新设定新密码，可惜的是我的密码暗号也被更换了，出现的是土耳其文，唉….

不过也好啦，至少我的MSN少了不必要的飞仔飞女及废人。

I don’t know why I’m having bad luck lately. I have been ill for 2 weeks; nose was bleeding everyday, until today I’m yet fully recovered. Recently, my MSN was being hacked. About 500 people in my contact list are gone!

I’m trying to reset the password, unfortunately my password hint was changed too, and it displayed Turkish!

But it’s not so bad; at least I can clear those unknown fellows in my MSN.

Staycation VS Quarantine

How many of you know the definition of staycation?

You must have heard of vacation. Both in fact have similarity. Vacation meaning a period spent away from home or business in travel or recreation, while staycation is a vacation spent at your home, or in your hometown. If done right, a staycation can be just as relaxing as a traditional vacation. And in some ways, it can be even more stress-relieving because it typically involves less planning and expense.

However, certain measures need to be taken to maximize the benefits of a staycation such as turning off your phone and computer (at least most of the time). Otherwise, your staycation is little more than a stressful extension of your regular life, offering no change of scenery, escape or other features that make vacations so refreshing.

I was having staycation too after I came back from Krabi. I was very sick, having bad sore throat, cough, fever, bodyache, flu and nose was bleeding for about 2 weeks. All are the signs of Influenza A (well known as H1N1 or swine flu) and I have got it all. I was afraid at first but logically I know I am not carrying the virus. We went to Krabi in a group of 10 and why I was the only one who fell sick? Although there are increasing in number of H1N1 cases in Malaysia especially local transmissions are higher than imported, but there are no reports saying that there is imported H1N1 via AirAsia AK805, because the flight was 95% seated.

Thus, for the sake of safety and being a responsible Malaysian (hahaha!!!), I had excuse myself to stay at home for approximately 10 days. However, I do not consider these 10 days of resting as quarantine or house arrest; I’m learning a new word – Staycation.

So don’t feel down for being quarantined, because you are having staycation. I’m loving it.

Malaysia Lousiest Bank Ever - Hong Leong Bank Berhad

So far I have been dealing with several banks in Malaysia but I would say that their services are truly disappointing me. But out of 10 anchor banks in Malaysia, I would rate Hong Leong Bank Berhad as the lowest and most useless and inefficient bank in Malaysia.

I have been using Hong Leong Credit Cards, from MTV Card to Classic Card, then being upgraded to Gold Card. I even used to have Hong Leong Junior Savings Account and Fixed Deposit since 1998, Hong Leong Al-Wadiah Savings Account since 1999, Hong Leong Islamic Bank Multi-Tier Account in 2006, and Hong Leong Assurance Heritage Plan in 2008, but now all no longer available!

Back in 2006, when I was opening a Hong Leong Islamic Bank Multi-Tier Account at TESCO Penang, the teller was sooooo busy chit chatting and smiling with her colleagues but when comes to serving me, the face was sour and black like charcoal, it’s like I owe her million dollars.

And then I found that on the “New Account Application Card”, there was a “CTOS checked” chop. I still remember, many NGOs and citizen has complaining that due to CTOS only recording bad history, though they have fully settled the debts, but CTOS never amend their history. Also, CTOS is only an third party agency, thus any party that would like to check the credit background of customer, CTOS would reveal it. In this case, it is a BREACH OF PRIVACY. Due to objection from Malaysian, Government has announced to stop using CTOS as credit background checking, but HLB still using it.

After account opened, when I got home, I found out that the teller opened a wrong account for me. “Savings Account” was printed on my Savings Passbook though I already wrote “Multi-Tier Savings Account” on the Application Form. I called the branch and request for a change, and I would say that the BRANCH MANAGER that handle my request is extremely NOT FRIENDLY!

I got exploded when I made a call to Hong Leong Bank Customer Services Department (CS) on 09 May 2008. The call was attended by a lady named Kelly. Obviously, she is quite new and not being well-trained and exactly not suitable to be on floor.

I never ever had seen a CS that always changing her mind and never stick to her earlier decisions. I know that she was too afraid to attend a customer like me but please I gave her chances, I even request to speak to her senior or manager after the 20 minutes conversation of nothing, but I can feel that her senior is refusing to attend the call through their whispering when she did not properly mute the call.

The worst is whenever she is putting me on hold and getting solutions from senior, she will amend her first decision made. Then again and again, until I got frustrated and raise my voice at her till I get my final solutions.

But the problem did not solve. Almost every month I am calling HLB CS to make a complaint on following issues:-

CASH DEPOSIT MACHINES (CDM)

When one Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) is out of services, CDM in all branches, nationwide are OUT OF SERVICES
(CDM are sooooo cooperative and focus on TEAMWORK)

One branch, one CDM, no extra
(Just like One House, One PC program, but it would be useless to have extra CDM since ALL ARE SOOOOO TEAMWORKING)

CDM punctually OUT OF SERVICES at 10:40PM nationwide until 1:00AM
(Will you prefer to bank in cash by or after 12:00AM?)

CDM are always out of services from Friday to Monday. When called to customer services, they told me a lot of people deposited the cash during weekend, when the CDM is FULL; it will be out of services.
(But how would you explain why CDM is still out of services on Monday when the branch is OPEN for business)

CUSTOMER SERVICES (CS)

When you called Customer Services to request for waiver on certain amount such as interest charge or late payment, sometimes they will tell you it will be handled by Credit and Collection Department (CC) and they are not supposed to do so THOUGH they can waive it for up to 3 months or more ( for Team Leader)!

When you request to speak to Credit and Collection Department, CS will ask you to call during CC’s office hours.

When you called during CC’s hours, CS refused to transfer your call to CC and tell you they are not supposed to transfer the call.
(So what is the point to call in during office hours?)

If you request for CC’s contact, CS will tell you they are not allowed to reveal the number.
(So make sure you save the number of CC’s agent when they called you for payment)

RETENTION SALES DEPARTMENT (RS)

My payment was totally sucks, Reason I did not make payment is due to the case happened in May 2008. It has been a year and it has not been settled. Furthermore, I did not use this card for almost 3 years.

In May 2009, I decided to cancel my card. The next day, RS called me and asking me to keep the card. She will issue a new card for me with waiver on annual fees until 2012.

The most blinded thing that she said is “Refer to your credit history, your payment is GOOD”.

I am a bad paymaster (I have my reasons) and did not use the card for years, and you still saying I am a good paymaster?! In Cantonese, we called this “Tell lies with your eyes wide opened”.

When you owe them money, they will hunt you like a hungry ghost. When they need you, they will praise you though you insult them!

Credit and Collection Department (CC)

CC is the loan shark department collecting due payments, also, evaluating customers.

Keep calling in asking for payment, but never realized the AUTOMATED BANKING SERVICES (CDM/ATM) is extremely lousiest in the region.
(How am I going to make the payment when I work from morning till night? And when I’m ready to bank in, your stupid CDM is OUT OF SERVICES)

No one is permanently handling your account as I was told the system will allocate your account randomly to different agent every month.

Even your account is in RED FLAG (VIP or URGENT), the manager will never handled your account. In other words, the agent who handle your account will be responsible for all the mistakes that done by others earlier.

Besides, as what I know, as long as you are in the Operations Department (such as Personal Banker, teller, officer, and etc.), you will be given a sales target regardless whether it is unit trust, investment or insurance. Can you imagine that a teller in a bank is forcing to do sales? Ridiculous!

When I make a complaint to Hong Leong Bank in TESCO Penang and CC Department regarding the CDM and CS problems, they told me “I understand as well, but they (there) are like that!”

Maybank is investing millions ringgit to improve their CS system and they really improve a lot, in terms of all systems and performance of the agents. Hong Leong? Way too far behind others…

甲米刺激之旅 - 七月二日| The Adventures of Krabi - July 02

看看日历，原本离开甲米之旅还有四个月，但转眼间却是我们即将启程的时刻。我们一行十人从吉隆坡飞往甲米，飞行时间大约一小时十五分。刚好适逢A流感袭击，我们只好戴口罩。
Time flies, it was supposed to have 4 months leaving for Krabi, but now we are prepared to fly. A group of 10 of us departing from KLIA LCC-T, flight takes approximately one and a quarter to reach the destination. All of us were wearing mask due to the Influenza A.

我们入住的是刚营业十一个月的四星级度假村Aree Tara Resort。可能是淡季吧，每间客房的四天三夜住宿只花费了MYR340，平均每夜RM113.33。我订的客房只是Superior，而登记时服务员却告知我们的客房已升级至Deluxe，而且还可以看到泳池。
We were checking in at a Four-star resort named Aree Tara Resort, it was opened for business for only 11 months. It could possibly due to low season, we only paid RM340 for 4 days 3 nights stay, average per night is only RM113.33. The rooms the I reserved are Superior, however, the front desk officer told me that all rooms has been upgraded to Deluxe room with pool view.

甲米市镇（Krabi Town）离开我们的于Ao Nang住宿蛮远，而且大家的都饿了，我们唯有包车四个小时到处走，每人只需140 Baht。
Krabi Town in fact is quite far away from our accommodation in Ao nang, furthermore we all were starved, and we decided to rent a van for about 4 hours to go around the town, it cost 140 Baht per person.

World Class Facilities; Third Class Maintenances

Recently, our newly appointed Prime Minister announced a new concept on how to “manage” Malaysia better, it is called 1Malaysia.

No doubt 1Malaysia concept has inspired and motivated most Malaysian that Malaysia is truly a country that treat every citizen equally and make Malaysia more competitive, such as the recent amendment in the compulsory 30% of shareholding of Bumiputera in Public Listed Companies. Our lovely PM might want to create a new impact by rebranding the perception of Malaysian towards his leadership.

Yes, Malaysia is always Number 1, but mostly is on the chart of software piracy, corruption, misused of human rights and etc. I wonder did our PM consider of upgrading the infrastructures and public transportation, don’t talk about Malaysia, only focus on Klang Valley.

KL Monorail

The incident did not happen to me but to me, however, I think it is way too ridiculous and unacceptable. On July 10, one cabin of KL Monorail was down at Raja Chulan station around 5pm. It was the peak hour as everyone starts to get off from work. The cabin was stopped and not able to move, causing management to announce a delay of service of 1 hour!

When the second cabin is reaching, the second cabin “accidentally” knocked the down-cabin, almost every passenger in the cabin was screamed out loud. I'm not surprised if everyone is screaming.

First, the knock is considered as a crash, what if the second cabin did not slowdown according to the distance? Will the whole Raja Chulan station explode?

Second, KL Monorail railway is “single”, Star/Putra LRT is "double". Apparently, comparison has shown that enhance security and safeness of KL Monorail is indeed important. If both cabins were crashed, will either one or both cabins fall or explode?

The incident that every Malaysian would remember would be one of the rolls/wheels of KL Monorail cabin fell down during the testing and demonstration period, it was dropped and hit on the head of BERNAMA journalist. This is part of the accidents.

Star LRT / Putra LRT

Both are managed by RapidKL now due to the inefficiency of previous management. No doubt, both LRT are the noisiest LRT ever, I believed any residents living near to LRT railway would have headache and noise pollution.

In Japan, in order to minimize the noise pollution released by vehicles and public transportation to the lowest, noise-proof wall is built in not only residential areas but business district too.

On 11 July, an Ampang line train is having serious technical errors. The train has taken the rail of Sri Petaling and it did not stop at each station. It has gone all the way to Sri Petaling station. Then the management advised all passengers to take a new train to Chan Sow Lin station for interchange to Ampang. While waiting, the first train is not in service, second train did not stop as well.

On 10 July, the train was also stopped and delayed due to a lady commit suicide nearby the pedestrian bridge at Pudu station around peak hour 8.30am.

Mr. PM, if you are caring your citizen, please ensure that Malaysia Public Transportation and Infrastructures are well maintained and constantly upgrade. Safety of passengers is the utmost important.

Delay is the red-tape and phenomena (culture) in Malaysia, among all railway systems operator, KTM Commuter is the winner! Such cases will only affect the concept of 1Malaysia especially efficiency of government related but privatized company.

The Spring

将近一年了，等到大家的颈都长了。自称是大马其中一家最具规模的建筑发展商- 怡保置地 IJM LAND 终于成功取得我新家的入伙证。

我当然是第一时间回槟城领钥匙，然后再规划装修工程。而这一次的设计重任，我决定杠起。这将是我第二次任室内设计师。

P/S: 我最不满的是我的房间。虽然是望海，可是小到超级可怜。。。

Everyone has been long awaited for the Cetificate of Occupation from the local renowned developer - IJM LAND.

Certainly I would get the keys as soonest possible, and start planning for the renovataion. ID would never be my expertise but I take part and make it to be one of of my responsibilities. This would be the second time being an Interior Designer.

P/S : Although my room is sea view but it would also be the layout I dissatisfied most. It's too "TINY"!
